Rugged and well designed. I really like that nothing touches the scope so there's no chance of having to resight. The only things that touch the gun at all are two foam pads and two velcro straps. Great value. If I need another case, I will certainly buy another one of these.

I was not sure what to expect for quality, considering the price I was able to get it for. But, it appears to be very durable. I was initially shocked at the limited items to reinforce the gun inside the case. But, after setting it up for my gun, it works great and the simplicity is probably better than having a bunch of straps and hooks. I am very pleased and think that most gun owners would like it. The only bad part is that it is not very stable if you stand it up on it end...it is really made to only lay on the ground.

I bought this case to protect the diopter sights on my K31. The rifle is held securely in the cradle and straps and nothing comes in contact with the sights. The case sits securely in the vertical orientation and swinging the lid open does not cause the case to topple over when the case is empty. The construction is sturdy and I am overall pleased with the purchase.

  • The case is plastic. But well constructed by Plano. I have 2 of them and carry a Springfield M1-A with 4 mags and 4 boxes of ammo heavy but feels secure. Plano warranty covers case for 5 years.

  • High density polyethylene. It is not flimsy, and will withstand all normal handling. However, there is nothing that cannot be broken by an airline baggage handler.

  • It is made of some sort of plastic product but it sure is not flimsy. It is sturdy and strong and legal for air shipment when you travel by air. Had mine for more than a year and doubt there is any better. I use it for my Crosman Storm XT air rifle (1,000 fps) which is a big air rifle. I also have mounted on it a 4x16 40mm AO scope which fits nicely on the rifle inside the case.

  • It is made of semi-hard, durable plastic. It can definitely handle some banging around. Anything can be damaged if there is enough force used. Will it stand up to a garbage truck rolling over it? NO! But for most of the stuff it will come into contact with, this case will do the job.

  • It is made of plastic that is similar to football helments. It isn't a $200 case, but will protect your gun in most Normal circumstances. I own 3 of them and use them for local travel. I use a better quality case when traveling on an airline. The better case has four lock positions as opposed to the one on the cheaper case.
