Great small shelf

It's really hard to find a shelf this size; At 22" wide by 14" deep it's neither too wide nor too deep and is great for laundry rooms, small apartments, ect. Not sure why the other user gave it 3 stars. It is FAR sturdier than other plasitic shelves I've tried, snaps together like cake (although a rubber mallet is helpful), and has very dense, circular legs (albeit hollow). Not quite as sturdy as steel shelves, but at the price point you can't even touch anything like it at Home Depot or Lowes. It holds things like gallon paint cans, medium sized toolboxes, and cleaning supplies with no buckling or tilting. Nice color and contour too.

closet organizer

I have stopped using dressers in recent years, prefering to have everything "visible" in my closet. Most closet organizers are either expensive, or just are not configured the way you would need. I moved into a place with a very small walk in closet. I hung up three of those hanging cloth organizers to use for t-shirts and small items, but found that I had no place to stack sweats, jeans and pants. I put one of these in the closet to make use of verticle space which is usually lost. They are also stable enough that you can use them along with some bins to store makeup, hair appliances, accessories, shoes, handbags, toiletries, etc. What is nice is you can configure them any way you need and move them around!

For the price, this is a decent product. It was fairly difficult to get the shelves level, and in the end the bottom shelf wobbled maybe less than 1/4 inch, but that was easily fixed once I put my printer on it. All in all it's fairly sturdy and I do like that the posts aren't one continuous plastic rod, as I'll need to disassemble it when I move out of my dorm next year. It also holds a decent amount of weight. I use it to hold my dishes (assorted metal pots and saucepans, cups, glasses, bowl, bakeware etc) and video game consoles. I'm considering buying another one, since as you can see in the photo, I ran out of space and desperately need somewhere to put the rest of my dishes and other stuff.

  • Yes, the usable space between the shelves is about 13", so plenty of room for foodstuff. I threw the box away, but If I remember right the untit can hold 250lbs total, and like 50 or 60lbs per shelf.

  • Yes. Keep heavier stuff to the lower shelves. Plastic has a good thickness to it but just be on the safe side. Any shelf would topple over if heavy stuff were on top.

  • It would be great as a pantry, It is solid enough even though it is plastic holds a lot. I would place cans/bottles on bottom to make more sturdy. Holds a lot of my husbands heavy clothing. I use a different one I bought a while back for pantry items but is practically the same just mine was a little bigger(5 shelves), but slimmer. This one is more sturdy Hope this helps.

  • I am using mine for books and they are heavy. I think, therefore, that these shelves would do just fine as a pantry shelving unit. They seem quite sturdy.

  • Might hold paper towels! They all were delivered damaged as they are made from thin plastic. Not sturdy.

  • Great addition to bedroom for an organizer. Can use in any room for any items, just be sure to place heavier items starting from the bottom.

  • If you are just putting simple things like make up, perfumes, and other small items it would be sturdy enough. I think you have a great idea of getting little baskets for it!

  • It is narrower than most shelving units so it would work well in a small bedroom. There isn't a ton of space between the shelves but it would definitely work to organize all of your perfumes.

  • I definitely think this would work from a size & sturdiness standpoint. But the appearance is ultra casual, not decorative, as long as that works for your space. And baskets, etc. could dress it up.

  • it would probably have to be secured to the wall if on carpet but otherwise it should work well. I currently have it in a corner and so it is kept extra sturdy. but simple wood screws would work easily onto any wall.
