Super Smooth Reel, One of the Best I have Received two for CHristmas, Can not believe how smooth it feels on the retrieve and Drag pulls out nice and powerful. Terrible! I bought this reel online assuming for $34 I'd be getting a half decent product I could beat on for river fishing. It's not. I assumed a ten bearing reel would be relatively smooth and worth the low price. It's not. It has an extremely rough retrieve. You can feel a constant vibration while reeling and it takes some effort to turn the handle compared to other reels--even after I oiled it. The only good things I can say about it is it looks nice and the handle feels good, but that's about it. If you want a great deal on a inexpensive reel at Walmart get the Mitchell Avocet II. I was so suprised at the smoothness and quality of that reel for around $25. 12/18/2009
