Rated 5 out of 5 by nblibrary best deal in hamster cages We have had the blue version of this cage for 6 months now and it doesn't seem to have all the problems other hamster cages have. It is large enough to be a main home for a hamster and nice that is has two levels. You can add on to it if you want to, but you need to buy "doors" (these are only a couple of dollars) to make the opening on the sides fit with other tubes. We have had a lot of fun adding to this cage. The water bottle has worked okay for us so far - I know other people had problems with this. 05/11/2010

The size of this cage is really more suitable for a dwarf or robo hamster which stay quite tiny. Just something to keep in mind. 11/22/2008

We bought a pretty basic cage from the pet store for about $20-25 and an extra "igloo" house for them to snuggle under. Overall we spent about $25-30 for this basic setup and ever since then we've dealt with the constant vacuuming from bedding being thrown out. Not any more!Don't settle for a cheaper cage! Do it right the first time. This was a fantastic purchase. I should have bought this from the beginning. The wheel does NOT squeak like the one we had. Bedding cannot be tossed out. There is a cute "cellar" for them to snuggle under to help protect them from drafts. The wheel can be easily blocked off with the pets inside for easy cleaning without having to catch your critters. This is another perk if you have tiny kids. You can block off the external wheel while you are not around to supervise your kids....Handy if you have a kid that might have the urge to give them a spin.Don't try and save a few dollars on a cheaper wire version. They are much harder to clean, draftier, and litter will be everywhere within two feet of the cage. Get it right the first time. I would highly recommend this cage!!! Highly!!!! 12/21/2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by BadSeed Perfect for Child's Room I purchased this hamster cage after reading other reviews about how the "little houdinis" escaped through the wire cages. We LOVE this cage. Not only can't the hamsters escape, but the "Pink Princess Castle" makes a perfect accessory for my daughters room. Also perfect to keep little fingers intact. Just in case:-)She also constantly leaves the top off, but they still can't get out! The hamster's sibling went to another home who had a wire cage, and it escaped the first night. I would definitely recommend this product! 07/20/2009
