Great Mini System For $70 this little system measuring 9H X 23W x4D has exceeded my expectations. Despite some bad reviews I've read on other websites I purchased it and I'm so glad I did!! Don't get me wrong it's not going to blow out the windows in your place. For my 1000sqft condo it's ideal w/ the volume 3/4's up it's heard throughout my place w/ nice crisp sound and a little bass. FM radio is clear, preset stations, detachable speakers, tabletop stand, WALL MOUNTABLE (2 screws) and some other features.In some of the bad reviews I read people didn't like the idea that you can not adjust treble or bass and the led display isn't the clearest and it wasn't the loudest. If you just want to listen to something this mini system is perfect for the money, and it looks GREAT on the liitle wall in my condo. Philips came through again for me!!! 09/01/2007
Great sound, Great Price, Great Looks! I read some poor reviews for this system on several other websites, but decided to give it a chance after reading the reviews on walmart.com. I purchased this system because I was tired of an older philips system. The older system was a 350W monster with bass boost. The thing could rattle windows.. lol. I wanted to simplify, though. Let's face it, I just bought an LCD TV and wanted something slimmer and that wouldn't be so hefty. I knew I would never get the volume I did with the older one out of this one. My expectations weren't THAT high and I figured I could just return it if I was too disappointed. BOY was I pleasantly surprised. This little system delivers nice crisp, clear sound at every level. You can hear clearly when it's at the low end of it's settings and at it's most extreem. Another plus is the dialog is clear during whispers or even when loud events are oingoing (during movies/gaming). The surround sound of this little system is a huge bonus since I wanted to hook it up to my DVD player for a "movie experience." I'm enjoying this system more than my older, more powerful one. It has less distortion and a crisper sound. Not to mention it just looks awesome in my new set-up with my LCD. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a nice, deep sound, but who isn't expecting to rattle the neighbors windows. Excellent for the $ I have only had this system 2 days now but I LOVE it. It has a very attractive design and sounds great.Like other reviewers said, don't expect earth rattling bass to blow the walls out, but it sounds excellent!! If you live in an apartment or condo and don't want window shattering sound, this is a great-looking and great-sounding stereo.I moved my 240 watt bookshelf stereo into the closet and put this in my living room.Looks great, sounds great, and an overall excellent value for the money. 11/16/2007
Good Stereo Purchased this stereo about a month and a half ago at my local Wal-Mart store. Overall great product. Goes well with the new piano black TVs. The only problem is that it does not play all homemade CDs. So if you like to compile your favorite songs onto one CD it may not play it. Other than that, I like the product. 10/13/2007
