Very effective About six months ago I developed the habit of turning off my alarm clock in my sleep. Not good. I couldn't figure out how to shake myself of this habit, so I decided to go for the sunrise alarm clock. I figured if the light wakes me up gradually, then at least I can make a conscious decision on whether or not I want to hit snooze.Good news: it works like a charmBad news: waking up still stinksIt's an easy wake-up; totally natural-feeling and not jarring at all. Great way to start the day! I am a big fan of this wake up light, it gets very bright but does a wonderful job of slowly illuminating to wake me up gently. Most mornings I wake up before the alarm starts sounding. The alarm choices are a soothing chime, birds chirping, or the fm radio. The radio portion sounds pretty good for an alarm clock and has no trouble picking up stations. The only complaint I have is the alarm switch on the side seems a little delicate for being a metal switch but as long as I'm not torquing it hard it seems fine. 02/18/2011

Pricey but worth it It is pretty pricey and I am not so sure if I am getting the value. I have been waking up easier which was the main objective. Set up was very easy and I have had no problems and the birds is really nice. I kind of wish it had a sleep inducing function in addition to the wake up one. 09/06/2011
