    R20 Energy Saver Bulbs The bulb is longer than the traditional incandescent buld and has a blue hue to it. Some other energy saver bulbs generate a more traditional colored light. 12/16/2007
    Didn't work for me I have three recessed lights in my kitchen. They are probably the most used bulbs in my house. Because of this they blow quite often with regular bulbs. I decided that as each one blew I would replace with an energy saver bulb.First off I feel this bulb is way to expensive. I paid about $6. This is old technology now and non flood CFL bulbs are half this price. Why is the flood so much more?Second the bulb is alot longer then the regular bulb. It is so long it stick out past the recessed light can. So much for having a recessed light. Because of this my cabinet hits the bulb and instead of giving the room a nice glow it casts shadows on everything. This is hard to explain in words. But with the bulb tucked in the can like it's suppose to I get no shadows. Since it's lower then the can the light shoots out the side and I get shadows from my ceiling fan and other things around the kitchen.Which brings me to my third issue with this bulb. It's way too bright. The color isn't too bad but the bulb is very bright. It does not make for a warm comfy feeling in my kitchen like I had with the regular bulbs.I either have to go back to the energy sucking bulbs or find a lower wattage and smaller length CF flood bulb. 02/02/2010
    It's a light bulb! I'm not sure I'm crazy about the bulb. It turns on dim and takes a minute or two to come to full brightness and it hums (not a catch tune). But it really isnt bad and seems to work. If it lasts 7 years like its supposed to I will be happy. 06/09/2010
    Too sterile blue white light for my taste. Ordered these online and assumed they would be like all the other spotlight bulbs I have. They are not. These bulbs are the sterile blue white light. Not the soft white or warm white I am used too. If you like a higher color temperature around 4500 or 5000 then you may like these. 10/11/2011
