The funnels are designed to connect to Philips Avent bottles which have a wider opening then most other brand bottles, we cannot guarantee compatibility.

I have no clue because I use the Avent bottles. Sorry I'm no help but I really love this pump for large boobs if that helps you any.

You can only pump with an avent bottle attached, but I use playtex bottles; that's the kind of pump I had previously. Since you need to clean the bottle and store the milk immediately anyway, I have not found it difficlult to just dump the milk into a new bottle and keep the avent bottle with the pump at all times.

Very comfortable and easy to use. Only need to use one hand. Very effective even when sitting back in a reclined position in office chair. Liked it so much, I bought the electric version of it.

Best Manual Pump I Ever Bought

I had been undecided about getting a manual breast pump. I have a dual electric pump and didn't know when I would use a manual, but I am very glad to have the Philips Avent manual breast pump. I use my electric pump at work during my 8-10 hour shifts. Sometimes I will have a 5 hour shift which I don't need to stop and use my electric pump, however there have been times when I have needed to stay late and just need to relieve a little pressure until I can get home and feed my child. This is when the manual pump comes in the most useful. I use it about every other week. It is very handy as it can be used discretely anywhere, no need for electricity, batteries, cords, tubes, etc. It allows you to sit comfortably while you pump. It is nice and compact, it fits well in my larger purses. This pump has a soft "massage cushion" for the flange that is almost like padding. It makes the pump very comfortable and is designed to help stimulate let down. However, this velvety soft material is a bit of a magnet for dust and pet hair. The pump comes with a travel cover for the flange area, which is necessary if your house/purse/car are not in the most pristine condition. The pump is very easy to clean and put back together. My favorite part is the little handle area on the duckbill valve where the milk drips into the bottle (see picture). This allows you to remove the valve without touching the delicate thin area that could be easily damaged. The natural bottle and nipple that come with the pump are great. My son took to them very easily. It also comes with a sealing disk for when you need to store the expressed milk. Overall, I was very pleased with the product and it was very easy for me to use and express a good amount of milk. They thought of everything with this pump!

I had an electric: lots of parts, lots of cords, never seemed clean, took forever to clean. The Phillips AVENT Manual Breast Pump is easy to use, easy to clean and isn't in the way. I can pump while my baby nurses and I can pump as fast as I want (3 ounces in 5 minutes!). It only has six pieces including a bottle. I could carry it in my purse if I wanted to. I am very satisfied.

I love this manual pump, which I thought I would not..its very easy to pump and walk around to do things or hold the baby.
It does not hurt unless squeezing the handle too tightly/quickly and I love the let down.

Great Pump

I keep this handy at all times when i dont have my electric pump around and it has been quite the lifesaver. It's really easy to use, comfortable, and works. It's time consuming if you are not used to manually expressing and your hand can get sore after a while. I have 2 and keep one at my desk and one in my trunk. Super helpful!

great back up

I bought this pump to use twice a week (one session on each day). Because I don't need it everyday and I am trying to wean off of this feeding, I didn't want to spend twice the amount on the electric version. For part-time use, this item is perfect! I can see, however, if you pump everyday, several times a day that a manual pump (ANY manual pump) would become a little tedious. I am pleasantly surprised by how effective this pump is. Compared to the other manual pump I was using (the attachment for a Medela electric that can be used as a manual) and was able to get double the milk in half the time with the Avent - 3 oz in 10 minutes one time and 5 oz in 20 minutes another time (2 oz in 45 min with my old pump). For me, with my 15 month old daughter, this is really good, but everyone is different. I personally like the silicone petal, but I have not tried pumping without it. Also, I see why some people say it is noisy. There is a silicone part with the pump lever that sort of squeaks. For me, sometimes the pump is completely silent and other times squeaky depending on how I am squeezing the lever. While it does make a sound, I do think it is way quieter than an electric and if you get the hang of it, you might be able to find a way to pump without the squeaky noise. While the bottle is only 4 oz. it can fit a little more than that. That would be a downside if you pump a lot because you would need to bring an extra bottle. Also, I DO like being able to lean back while pumping. One time I was even able to pump while sitting comfortably and reading a book. This pump is nice and portable for occasional pumping, travel, or "just in case". However, if you need a pump for full time use and this is all you can afford, do not hesitate! I highly recommend!!!!

Great product!

Great product.. I'm a 1st time mom and not purchasing an electric pump was a concern for me until I went online and watched videos from a mom who recommended this pump.. And I love it.. Very easy to use and clean as well.. I love that it allows me to controll my flow of milk and I don't have to continously PUMP.. It streams after a first few pumps.. I also found it easier to breastfeed baby at the same time(mom's=multitaskers!)

This is a good pump. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is sometimes I have trouble positioning the pump on my breast because it's hard to see. Sometimes it's also squeaky and loud which can be annoying but it does work great and I love the convenience of being able to pump directly into the avent bottles.

Good pump

Disassembling, reassembling, and using the pump was intuitive, I was able to figure it out without consulting the manual. Even on the first use while getting a feel for the pump, I was able to produce about as much as I normally do with the double electric pump I use every day at work. The massaging cushion definitely made the pump comfortable, although I can't say for sure that it is not just an electric vs. manual pump difference. My only complaint is that the grip was a little awkward and I kept slightly unscrewing the bottle from the pump because of that. The pieces of the pump were all dishwasher-safe so cleaning was a breeze. I liked that the valve piece had a tab you could pull on to avoid having to pull on the actual valve when removing it from the pump for washing. This is not going to beat the efficiency of a double electric pump, but it was useful for occasionally pumping a small amount of milk to mix into my baby's rice cereal or purées when he was starting solids. I bring this pump with me when I am going to be away from my baby for several hours in case I have to relieve engorgement; I've never felt the need to use it on the go, but it gives me peace of mind to know I have it!
