    I love this cup

I bought this cup for my adopted 1-year old who wouldn't take a bottle or sippy cup, only an open-mouth cup. So this cup saved my floors!! You just barely press your mouth against the green top, and the fluid comes out. BRILLIANT!! Finally an option besides the standard sippy cup.

We started using these cups when my little guy was about 18 months, and they are now the only cup he uses regularly (at 21 months). (We like them so well that we have multiple cups in multiple colors!) Initially, it took him a few days of pouring water all over himself before he got used to the fast flow, but since then he rarely spills while drinking. There are a few drops of liquid that remain in the top of the lid after taking a drink, and they will dribble out if the cup is upended. If I allow my son to play with the cup, it's easy for him to depress the lid while the cup is tipped, allowing the liquid to flow out freely. Because this is practice for a "real" cup, however, he is not allowed to play with it and turn it upside-down, so we don't often have problems with messes at the table. Pros: minimal mess if knocked over; good practice for drinking from open cups; nice circumference for small hands; fits into my single-bottle-sized cooler and most cup-holders Cons: not spill-proof in the hands of a child; several lid/valve pieces to clean (and it takes a few times of assembling all the parts to get the hang of it); handles are not removable

My son was born with a cleft lip/palate and was unable to create suction in his mouth for a bottle or a sippy cup. We had to use the Enfamil cleft bottles. I wish we would have found this cup sooner! We found it after both his lip and palate surgeries had been done, but it would have worked great after the lip surgery. He picked it up right away. I cried when he was able to feed himself for the first time! I would recommend this to anyone with a cleft child. It will save you time and muscle power from using those squeeze bottles!

I love the idea behind these cups. However, I'm a little confused. I've found 3 different pages for these cups on the Walmart website. All of which are 9 oz.. and they all seem to be exactly the same. But I'm confused because they each cost a different price. So what's the difference? The price differences are by no means large, but for there to be a difference, I have to believe there is something different between them. I just can't figure out what. Below is the "title" of each up, the cost, and walmart's url for them. If anyone can explain this one to me, I'd appreciate it! ~Elizabeth Right now, this is what I found: 1. Green Cup: Philips AVENT SCF782/11 9-oz, Natural Drinking Cup, Green - $4.81 (URL: 2. Blue or Pink: Philips AVENT SCF782/15 9 Ounce BPA Free Natural Drinking Cup, Blue - $5.00 (URL: ) 3. Red: Philips AVENT SCF782/13 9 Ounce Natural Drinking Cup, Red, 1-Pack - $5.29 (URL: )

    • I noticed that the packaging slip said 9oz as well but in reality the cup is 7oz. I do know that Avent makes these in 9oz versions, whether these are sold on here is the question. I bought a 9oz one but received a 7oz cup for 5$ even, in green.

    • I have green, blue, and red (at all three prices), and they're all the same. I, too, was baffled by the cost difference, so I ordered one of each. Since there wasn't any noticeable difference, I added more green cups and blue cups to our cupboard. (As of this evening's visit to the website, all the colors are now priced the same: $5.00.)

    • The color is the only difference.

    • Manufacturers and retailers sometimes set different prices on items of different colors due to their capacity to sell a certain amount of units/popularity.
