Rated 1 out of 5 by Finally made my choice, what a disappointment! After spending a month of looking and reading reviews and articles on flat screens I ordered a Samsung that was sold at a my store, they said that they had 2 on the order and was on the truck. So I ordered it on line and waited to find out it they didn't get them and the order came back cancelled. Get back on line found another store near by and ordered again, same thing happened . This happened four times . Then found out they dis. that model and was told to wait a week because the models and tv wall was changing. I did and found that the exact tv was back in but this years model same exact tv but now about $100. more. After all that and having around $2000 tied up in credit/refunds from the ordering before plus now its out of what I bugited for a tv. After again reviewing ,etc. I ordered the Philips 120hz ref. but came with a year warrenty and not the usual 90 day. Plus for the price I bought some peace of mind a 2 yr warrenty. Brought it home hooked it up installed it on wall and enjoyed watching it for maybe five days . On the six day turned it on all good ,stepped out of the room for a bit and came back to a black screen with no sound. I thought it had loose wire ,or cable etc. I checked everything followed trouble shooting and followed everything the web and manuals said, everything! I am so p----d off at this whole tv thing I am taking it all back today and I am sure by the time I make it through the return line I am not going to be anyones favorite customer. In fact for there sake they better be happy and treating me like a VIP ,otherwise they maybe walking very funny for a long time after my visit! As you can see I am NOT a happy customer right now and all my time I have waisted can't and wont be compensated so all I can say to all of you shoppers is GOOD LUCK! 05/16/2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love the TV but it came damaged. I love this tv, it did come damaged however. The left side had spots on it that made the colors uneven. It was the most noticeable when the screen was dark or black. Rather than returning it to Walmart I called Phillips directly and they are sending me another refurbished tv. Other than the spots, I am really happy with this product. I'm looking forward to getting my new one any day. For the price and customer service I think this tv is a great buy, I would have rated it higher had it not came damaged --but I guess it is a refurbished tv. I recommend registering your product with Phillips incase there are any future problems. 05/09/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Average TV for a Great Price We bought 2 of this TV, one for us and one for the parents. For the price, it is awesome. We like it very much. The internet functionality is kinda limited which makes it just an extra possibility but it is not the best out there. It is LED by the way. Sound is way better than my other LG TV. One thing I didn't like is that HDMI has to have a separate audio cable which is kinda odd but can work around it. Other than that, we are very happy with the purchase. 05/27/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by TV much better than I had hoped. A+! 05/16/2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent value, some missing features Walmart has this LED model incorrectly listed as an "LCD" TV even though it's sibling, the 40PFL7505D/F7B, is correctly listed as an "LED" TV. The 7505D, which lacks the 7705D's internet connection, is also $80 more expensive, which makes this model the better value. The picture is very bright and sharp and the sound is much better than one would expect from built-in speakers. Unfortunately, although the TV has a digital audio output for connection to a home theater system, it does not have an analog audio output for use with a regular stereo system, PC speakers, wireless headphones, etc. Also missing is a Menu button on the TV, which means you must use the remote to set anything other than power, channel, volume, and source. It's inexplicable why the designers would leave out two such essential features. The user interface is very basic in appearance, there is no program guide or signal quality meter, adjusting the volume disables closed captions, and the TV takes forever to boot up (21 seconds from power on to picture, compared to 10 seconds for my Samsung). But those minor quibbles don't detract from the great picture and sound of this TV; for no-frills watching it's an excellent value. 05/06/2012
