    How it Works

PetArmor works the same way as Frontline Top Spot, providing full-body protection to help keep your pets flea and tick free. And they stay gone for 30 days. It's that simple. PetArmor contains fipronil, so it kills fleas and ticks on your pet. Even new fleas that hatch later will be killed when they jump on your pet. PetArmor is just as safe and effective as Frontline Top Spot.

What can I expect after treatment?

After treatment with PetArmor, fleas and ticks get very active as they die and move to the top of the pet's coat where they are more visible. This is a sign that the product is working. If you see fleas several days or weeks after applying PetArmor, you may have an infestation in your yard or elsewhere. Remember to treat all pets in your house with PetArmor every 30 days throughout the year to help protect your pets from fleas and ticks.

    Prevention is the best medicine

As with most things in life, prevention is much easier and less expensive than treating an existing problem. Even a few fleas can spread throughout your home and be difficult to overcome. Using PetArmor medication every 30 days will protect your pet.

I recently took in a new kitten who is about 9 wks old. She had fleas and worms and needed help. I decided to go ahead and take care of the fleas til i could get her to a vet the next day. I saw frontline plus online and figured they would have it in the store. Well they had it on the dog side but not the cat side! So it was either petarmor or advantix. I chose petarmor because it was cheaper and figured id order frontline for next time. I put the petarmor on her as soon as i got home that night and took her to the vet the next afternoon and she had no more fleas! The vet took a comb and combed out all the dead ones! He said it would kill her ear mites too so i wouldnt have to treat them separately! Petarmor literally worked in under 24 hrs. I couldnt believe my eyes from all the bad reviews on here. I decided to let you guys know that it worked for my kitty so you should at least give it a try. As far as it lasting, im not there yet since its only been a few days but my vet said its the exact same ingredient as frontline but without the other chemical that kills flea eggs. So this stuff really worked for me! Give it a try before you read all these negative reviews!

I had used advantage for years, and it stopped working. I bought a new batch even ($60!!!) and after three treatments still saw fleas. We treated the house, the yard, and put the Pet Armor on our cat and it seems to have done the trick. This product took about four days to work completely, so be patient. It is not instant, and you do need to treat your home and yard as well if you have already seen fleas. Within 24 hours of treatment it may seem that you notice more fleas simply because they are moving to the surface of the cat's coat as they die.

    • They have one that is for cats 5lbs and higher. I have been told by vets to use more than one pack if one pack doesn't do the trick. Always ask a vet first!

    • there is no indication on the packaging or the product insert about the size of the cats, only the age. you would probably need to check with either your vet or the company that makes pet armor to be sure.

    • Unfortunately, due to a business-driven patent dispute we had to stop shipping PetArmor Plus to retailers in August 2011. Both products are equally effective at killing adult fleas and ticks because both contain fipronil, the No. 1 vet-recommended active ingredient. PetArmor does not contain an insect growth regulator that kills flea eggs and larvae. However, PetArmor still protects against a flea re-infestation because it will kill any adult fleas that hatch or hop onto your pet. As long as your pet is treated every month with a PetArmor product, the fleas will be killed.

    • no, this only kills fleas, not eggs or larva. I believe that is the diff between this and the plus.

    • This product does not kill flea eggs. If your cat already has fleas, you can buy capstar or other products for the eggs. Frontline does not kill flea eggs either.
