It is not the item pictured or expected as a "heavy duty" tie-out because I have an older one and it bears no resemblance. It is half the size of the other one, much lighter weight and has much smaller clips. I went ahead and used it because I had no choice and couldn't wait any longer - I live 30+ miles from the store I go to and could not exchange it conveniently. It also does not have the steel curl-bracing pictured. I was very disappointed. 08/24/2011
the packaging is different from what is shown but it's still the same manufacturer. Yes the plastic lining does crack but my Lab mix hasn't snapped the cable. She's a big dog, over 100lbs and she's forceful when running full force towards the fence. she doesn't do it often as I could imagine it doesn't feel good on her neck and collar...over all great product and it does what it's supposed to, keep my dog in the yard and not in trouble! 03/09/2012
