fun toy we bought this for our 3 year old. when we took it out of the box it seemed kind of big, but he rides on it comfortably and he will be able to use it for a long time (weight limit is 130lbs.)... it goes two speeds (my three year old likes the faster one), it is easy for him to steer, and it has good traction. we have yet to run down the battery. my son weighs about 37 lbs, and im not exactly sure how long he has ridden on it but probably for about an hour+ and the battery is still going strong. if you do purchase this product or another one like it make sure you thoroughly read and follow the instructions for how to take care of the battery. they are very specific. 05/22/2009
very nice We don't have a lot of money, so we wanted to get every dollar out of our purchase. ToysRUs wouldn't honor the internet price at the store on a similar model, so we went to WalMart. The Peg Perego Polaris does everything we expected. It was a birthday gift for our 4 yr old and he loves to ride his 2 yr old brother with him. The 2 yr old gets to ride in the lower speeds. The vehicle handles moderate inclines and slightly slick terrain well. The reverse helps on getting out of a situation. The vehicle is 12v, but there is room to put another 12v battery in with it, making it a 24 v ride. Since I only paid $249.00, it makes it very affordable for it's size, power, competing with the $350 models, and with the added battery, competes well with the $450 models. For us, an excellent value and choice.Oh, i just wish the tires were rubberized--would make traction a non-issue--so will "aftermarket" some accessories for that issue. 09/22/2009
A great toy! I bought this ATV for my son who is turning 8. Although the age recommendation is 3-8, this ATV holds up to 130 pounds. He loves it and so does his 9 year old sister. It goes fast enough and handles well. He loves to ride it around the block and him and his friends have fun racing it against other powered vehicles. 07/02/2009
Best Buy! We are so happy with the purchase of the Peg-Perego Trail Boss. We purchased the Trail Boss for our 6-yr old daughter whose Jeep Hurricane has been monopolized by our 2-yr old son. The Trail Boss is a great fit for her with room to grow. It goes slightly faster than the Jeep, a real bonus in the war of ages. It was delivered in perfect shape and assembled with ease.
