Rated 5 out of 5★ by CookieMoo Great for Art and other project...Not for Food!!! I love Pearl Ex, and use it for various forms of art. But it should NEVER be used on cakes! The packaging & website state that it is non-toxic and inert, but the same could be said of a lot of other things you wouldn't want to put in your mouth. Artists work with many different substances, and we sometimes lose sight of how safe they are. Pearl Ex is made with mica (a mineral# and ground to a powder with an extremely small particle size. I would not want to inhale it into my lungs, and I wouldn't want it in my food. Nowhere on the package or the website do they say it's OK to use on cakes. I would careful not have it near any food. All artists should check the ASTM ratings #see astm.org) and learn as much as you can about your supplies! 01/08/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★ by linnyb1964 Great product for many types of artwork/crafts I'm using my Pearl Ex powders to color unbaked polymer clay beads. Nice mix of colors in this set and a little powder goes a very long way. The powders are also great to mix with artists acrylic mediums to add a special touch to artwork. 01/17/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★ by chocolatefences Cookies Chatter I had bought one jar of copper to see if I liked the effects and check out the versatility. One Little jar went on for miles. I painted my back splash a chocolate color and my husband was horrified at how it looked against peachy hued walls Trust me please I said When dries I used a damp wash cloth and began rubbing the copper pigment in circular motion over the brown and it came out stellar , did the same with a wooden shelf and accented a wall hanging set of elephants this brought the kitchen all together in rich overtones and tons of compliments, These pigments are endlessI have tons of new ideas for my next delivery 03/03/2013
