Panasonic Steam Iron with Carrying Case, Cordless, White

review of panasonic cordless iron model no. NI-L70SR: I love this cordless iron but would only recommend it for someone who wants to use it as a dry iron with or without a water spray bottle. That is how I use it--I don't add water to it. I just spray the fabric with a spray water bottle and iron or just iron without water. I did try the steam feature and I found it's not powerful enough to make it worth using. Also, the iron is very heavy, 5.1 lbs. without any water in it. Add water to it and it's even heavier. My old cheap iron was 2 lbs without water. I almost returned this new one because of the heaviness factor, but kept it because the cordless feature makes ironing so much easier. At the highest temperature setting, it does not get quite as hot as a corded iron. But it does get hot enough to iron out the wrinkles (I wear a lot of cotton and linen.) The settings are LOW, MEDIUM, AND HIGH and they light up red so you know which one is currently on. It has an OFF button that lights up green when the iron is off but still plugged in--I like that.

I am a quilter and I thought that this cordless idea would be great and I was right! The docking station is on my table near the ironing board. I can iron yards of fabric without the cord being in my way. The iron is easy to use because of the digital buttons. You know it is heated and ready to go because after you place it on the docking station it lights up if it is ready or not. I haven't had to wait on it yet. Seems to keep steaming and ironing without having to charge up, but I do set it on the docking station when I am moving fabric around and etc.

When sewing and quilting it's a must to press as you go, this is easy and great with no cord in the way. Could not be happier. Got one for my sister for Christmas, and it looked so good I had to put it on my wish list, and Santa brought one for me also. We are both more than happy with them. Will be great to take to classes and retreats. Love it.

iLove it The fact it is so light is wonderful I'm a senior citizen with aged hands. Gets hot fast and not having to hassle with the cord makes for a fast job of the ironing Thank you jassbm

I always buy Panasonic products because of quality, this iron is not the exception. I highly recommend to everyone who wants a modern, futuristic , affordable and reliable machine.

I've only had my cordless iron for 11 days, and have used it 4 times. I've got to say, compared to ironing with a cord which usually hits the garment & rewrinkles a part I have already ironed, Cordless Ironing is Almost fun! I haven't had it very long (less than 2 weeks); but so far I am very happy with it. Additionally, it was easy to research & order. And the shipping was free - and it arrived 2 days early!

I thought a cordless iron existed only in my mind. When I found one, I was thrilled. This is a fabulous product and works just like a heavy duty iron. It gets hot and irons great. I am in love with this product. I only wish I had found it sooner!!!

I purchased this to replace a cordless iron that quit working. I quilt and love the cordless irons, they don't pull on the fabric and put wrinkles back in where I just ironed. This iron gets plenty hot enough, has good steam when I need it. The only reason it didn't get the fifth star is because the iron is rather heavy. Other then that, I would recommend this iron to anyone.

It's worth it for the cordless feature. The cord for the base section retracts quickly, and I like being able to put the cover on, pick it up by the handle, and store it when I'm all finished. Only 4 stars because the steam needs to be encouraged sometimes. Doesn't get super hot but is adequate for my needs. I like it enough that I bought this 2nd one for my daughter.

This is the most wonderful Iron I've ever used! Not having a cord to deal with is wonderful!!! The base sits on the iron rack which connects to my board. By the time you need to set it back on the base, it's time to shift your fabric anyway. I've not had any issues with having to wait to iron or wait for it to reheat. I'm a quilter that have tried many expensive irons in the past and this by far is the best for the money!! Don't wait...buy!!
