Wow! I've had this camera for a few days and am completely impressed with the quality of photos it takes. I haven't even learned all the tricks, but right out of the box, the simple pictures I've taken are beautiful. I was testing it out and took a very close up picture of my cat and you can see every individual hair - I uploaded to Shutterfly and said that the picture could be blown up to 20x30 inches - amazing! I can't wait to take it on vacation. I am also very happy with the color; I can hold the picture up to the object I've taken a picture of and the color is exact - this is something I've been unhappy about with my old camera.I'm not sure why the black model of this camera is $100-$200 cheaper than the red, blue, and silver models; I compared them and they seem to have the exact same features. Buy the black!!Also, even though the software CD says "PC compatible," it works just fine on my MacBook. 02/18/2012

SLR type versatility and features including manual I was looking for an advanced featured camera with long zoom in compact form factor without interchangeable lens and decent price. Here it is.Limitations are no RAW, no accessory filter or hot shoe for flash. Initial experimental shots are amazing, out of the box. 03/13/2012
