Rated 3.1 out of 5★ by 8reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5★ by more bang for the buck i bought this sleeping bag for my daughter for her bug out bagwe put it to the test during a cold spell we had in January as the temps dropped down to the teens .this bag preformed excellent and did meet our every expectation for a good bag we could count on in a situation. i did buy a separate stuff sac that was a little more on the heavy duty side as the included sac was kind of lightweight and had the potential to wear out quickly . all in all i give this bag a 5 star rating . 02/20/2013
Rated 1 out of 5★ by Not 15 degree sleeping bag. You get what you pay for. Last fall I went backpacking to Chinook Pass. The low temps were supposed to be 39 degrees, but about 4 a.m. I woke up shivering , and very very cold. I had on every piece of clothing I owned. The temps dropped down to freezing, and my feet were so numb all I could feel was pain.Do not rely on this bag for cold weather mountaineering / backpacking for sure. I would say minimal 35 degrees. Maybe with a fleece liner, would be a little more comfy. There was another time that I was rather cold, and the temps dropped down to around freezing in August, and I got rather cold, but I really wasn't dressed for cold weather.Compression bag is cheap, the buckles bend, and the bag stays bulky. I've been meaning to buy another compression bag to see if I can get the bag smaller. 02/12/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Perfect for camping, amazing for price! Used this sleeping bag on a camping trip a few days ago and I'd never slept better. It was a gift from my father. The material and padding is so nice and comfortable that I was sure it was an expensive sleeping bag. Much to my surprise, it's only $30. The sleeping bag is very warm. Had to wake up in the freezing cold at 5am everyday and it felt good to be snuggled up in this sleeping bag. I didn't want to get up. The hood is adjustable with a drawstring and can snugly fit anyone's head. There's a zipper on both the outside and inside of the bag, which is convenient when trying to zip yourself in. There is also a pocket on the top that can fit a few toiletries, a small flashlight, or a snack. This sleeping bag is very big though, and will not easily fit into it's original bag once opened. I'm using the sleeping bag when I visit my sister this weekend. I don't know when I'll get to go camping again; I just want another chance to use it! 04/14/2014
Rated 2 out of 5★ by A little bulky for hiking. I thought it would be much smaller when packed. I had bought it for hiking for my son, but I don't think he would be able get it back in the bag, so I returned it. 11/14/2013
Rated 2 out of 5★ by You get what you pay for Bought two of these at the same time and I'm not very impressed but for 30.00 what do you expect.. The first one wasn't even completely sewed along the zipper which left a gap. Yeah, I probably got a dud but if you want some cheap bag to do some simple camping then it will probably be fine.. I would not trust this for much more though.. Good LuckNeedless to say Im returning them for a tad better quality 01/25/2014
Rated 4 out of 5★ by well worth $30 I spent a month sleeping in my car up at 9000 feet during the month of March. I had two camping pads (one thermarest, one inflated), a heavier down blanket and this bag. The below zero nights were cold, but I got some sleep. The nights in the low 20s was balmy and my alarm clock had to wake me up every morning. This bag performed better than I expected. I wouldn't rely on just this bag for anything below 30 degrees though. 03/30/2014
Rated 3 out of 5★ by Great winter budget tent So i tested this out on eastern Long Island in January in just above freezing rain, temperature was about 35F outside the tent. The material feels about what youd expect for the price but was not uncomfortable. I am 5'9" 190lbs. If your dimensions are larger than that, go be smaller or find another bag. It is a very tight mummy bag, you will sleep hugging yourself so you best be comfy with yourself. Seriously, there is no wiggle room anywhere. When i settled down i could see my breath and the tent was getting cold. Once you are inside and zipped up, there are two drawstrings: one around the chest and one for the hood part. These work wonderfully for trapping in heat and also for turning you into a gloworm. I fell asleep wearing cotton socks, sweatpants, sweater, with an air mat below, and was toasty all night. I woke a few times because i was too hot and had to unzip the hood. The unzipping part is fun because you feel like a magician trying to escape a staight jacket, i hope you are flexible, its a tight fit. This bag kept me super warm and would be good to at least 28F without needing extra layers. Will not make a good summer bag if you live in a region similar to Long Island where summers are just gross. The downsides: it packs large and bulky into a compression sack that isnt made well enough to last long, the zipper doesnt seem terribly strong, and just not really wide enough. Makes a great cold weather bag if you are car camping, this is not something you want to carry. For the price, it may be the best cold gear for your money. 01/11/2014
Rated 3 out of 5 it's an ok MILD weather bag Recently bought a couple of these for a two day campout. First night was about 50 degrees; we stayed comfortable. Next night was in the low/mid 30s, and we were VERY cold. Not hypothermia cold or anything, but chilly and uncomfortable all night. So these bags are good down to mild temps, but are definitely not for temps down to 10 degrees as they advertise. Judging from their performance in the mid 30s, I can only surmise that a 10 degree night would have left me unable to write this review due to frostbite. 05/05/2014
