Rated 5 out of 5 by DADIO1963 more bang for the buck i bought this sleeping bag for my daughter for her bug out bagwe put it to the test during a cold spell we had in January as the temps dropped down to the teens .this bag preformed excellent and did meet our every expectation for a good bag we could count on in a situation. i did buy a separate stuff sac that was a little more on the heavy duty side as the included sac was kind of lightweight and had the potential to wear out quickly . all in all i give this bag a 5 star rating . 02/20/2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Hikergirl01 Not 15 degree sleeping bag. You get what you pay for. Last fall I went backpacking to Chinook Pass. The low temps were supposed to be 39 degrees, but about 4 a.m. I woke up shivering , and very very cold. I had on every piece of clothing I owned. The temps dropped down to freezing, and my feet were so numb all I could feel was pain.Do not rely on this bag for cold weather mountaineering / backpacking for sure. I would say minimal 35 degrees. Maybe with a fleece liner, would be a little more comfy.There was another time that I was rather cold, and the temps dropped down to around freezing in August, and I got rather cold, but I really wasn't dressed for cold weather.Compression bag is cheap, the buckles bend, and the bag stays bulky. I've been meaning to buy another compression bag to see if I can get the bag smaller. 02/12/2013
