  • A. No. You need a military GP5 for that order.

  • A. No, there are no provisions for 'Zipping' two tents together to make one giant tent. If you want to create a monster tent for the kids, I suggest arranging two tents face to face with the awnings overlapping to make a 'Boys' side and 'Girls' side with walking room to either side of the entrances.

  • A. No you couldn't do that. But, seriously, do you really want 15 kids in one tent? I camped with Boy Scouts for many years. One thing was certain -- the more boys you had in one tent, the more likely you were to have personality conflicts. We found it much better to split them up in smaller groups.

  • A. No, there's no way to connect 2 or more tents. however, there's only 1 doorway to this tent. You could butt them together and leave a little walkway between them.

  • A. They cannot zip together but two of them can fit more 15 kids depending on age. Each tent can fit 3 queen size mattresses so if that helps maybe you can figure from there. You can position them close from door to door if that helps.

I am very interested in buying the Ozark Trail 3-Room XL Tent Camping Vacation Lodge, but seeing the comments of people who have already bought, I've seen a lot of criticism concerning the leaks in the house and lot of water dripping.

  • A. Well start off with planning your outings around weather that don't promise rain. Use a little judiciousness here. The internet can tell you what it's going to do in the next 15 days with an assumed 70% accuracy rate. Nothing is more of a bummer than doing outdoor activities than rain. Remember this is a tent and not a proper house. It's made of canvas and part of the outdoor experience is to get out of the house but within a tent, which is a comfort zone. Your expectations may be too high for this product but leaks can and do occur in canvas structures in general if the rain and winds are heavy enough. Expect rain and use a silicone sealant all over the canvas and seams to minimize the possibility of leaks. If you still cannot tolerate it then a kitchen in a house is better your suiting.

  • A. we didn't have a problem...recommend using sealer on inside of floor seams and unerside of rainfly seams. most people don't realize you should not have anything against a wall...this will allow water to seep through and leak...keep all walls clear from bags and beds!

  • A. You should always buy seam sealer with any tent you purchase. You apply it to the inside seams, not where the netting is though. Most tents leak, it is a fabric, unless its an expedition tent specifically made for extream conditions.

  • A. We didnt have any problems getting wet on the inside even tho it rained 1 nite and there was lots of dew in the mornings. The only way it got wet on the inside is when we touched it from the inside. We didnt do any waterproofing of the seams. We did look at a few products in Walmart to do so, but you gotta leave it sit undisturbed for a day after applying it. and we didnt have time to do so.

  • A. I purchased a bottle of seam sealer and treated all of the seams. I did not treat the rest of the tent. We found ourselves in the middle of a severe thunderstorm with wind gusts over 40 mph. We had no problem at all with leaking (until my daughter unzipped a window and rain came in through the screen). I think the most important factor in staying dry in this tent is ensuring that the rain cover is on properly and is secured tightly (and the windows are zipped shut). I highly recommend this tent!

  • A. I haven't personally used it in the fall and summer but so far it does great in the spring (low 40's weather with rain-fly on) with a lot of blankets and/or propane heater. This tent is more geared for warmer climates above 40F.

  • A. I guess it depends on where you're camping and how severe the weather is. It's definitely not designed for extreme weather. But then, it's a family camping tent. Most families don't camp in extreme conditions.

  • A. Spring, summer and early fall would be fine with this tent. It got to the 40,s at night but we were comfortable with plenty of blankets and warm sleep wear.

  • A. I would not consider this a 3season tent. But last weekend we encountered 47-57 degree nights. With the windows closed and with the right blanket, bags etc we were fine and warm. But on the warmer nights and days this tent has great ventilation! The whole "top" is mesh but the rain tarp is close when on so that does help with the colder nights.

My fiance and I bought this tent despite the reviews we had read here on walmart.com. We was looking around for a good tent that would fit our family of 3 but also some friends if needed. We found this one in store and I fell in love with it even before we read the reviews. We bought it at the local Wal Mart in Lancaster, OH because they was cheaper than the one thats in the town we live in. We wanted to test out the tent as soon as we could get us a campsite booked. The weekend of August 1st we got to try out our $119 investment. It took a little time to get it up because of it being so big and it was hotter than heck where we was at. It rained the first night camping and the tent DID NOT leak. We had room enough for 5 people with 3 air bed mattresses (1 queen, 2 twin) and the other stuff we needed for the weekend. So if anyone needs a tent that is large they should get this one and go to Lake Hope for camping. I really love this tent!!

My fiancé and I were on the look-out for a new tent and found this one. He is a "Coleman" man all the way, however, I really liked the size and price of this tent and thought we should give it (Ozark Trail) a try. So glad we did! We have used it twice so far. The first time it took us a little over an hour to set up (only because we were following the directions - which were super easy to follow - and took our time). The second time was a breeze! No more than 30 minutes, at most. The next time will be even faster! :) We were able to have 2 queen and 1 twin air-mattress with pleanty of room left over for all of us (2 adults, 2 teenagers, 1 child) and our stuff (blankets, pillows, clothes, etc). No one had any problems moving around or standing up in the tent. We did not have any problems with leaks or dew seaping in the material (we did seal all of the seams and did not have any rain). The only con we both have with the tent is the awning. The poles and guy-lines hold it up nicely, but it is a little short. You have to stoop under the awning to walk inside the tent. Other than that, the tent is great! We can't wait to go camping again! Here are some pics...

I am a 5'3" 105 pound girl and I put this tent up with minimal help from a couple of 8 year old boys. I bought the tent so I could have a personal sleeping space and my son and his friends could have their own space with room left over for our stuff. The tent is huge. The camping spot I originally was given wasn't big enough for the tent. Luckily there was another spot available. Think ahead. It was big enough to fit a queen-sized air mattress in each end with stuff. We left the center open for eating/playing games. The room dividers are open at the top and bottom and provide minimal privacy. Because the tent is so big, we brought space heaters to battle the cold and we needed it. The only thing I didn't like so much about the tent was that blasted front door and the awning. My boys kept getting the tent/awning caught in the zipper and tripping over the poles/ropes to secure the awning. Also, I think it is irritating that when you unzip the door it doesn't hang open for easy access. You still have to lift it everytime to get in and out. This may have been a good thing if we were fighting bugs. It was just awkward. Tear down took a little time, but everything went back in the bag. For the price it is a great buy.

We spent three nites in this tent with four children (one in a playpen) and it rocked! Not only did it rain and pour on us, it hailed and the tent passed the test. It had a few small leaks taken care of by seam sealer. It is worth the money - I have seen the reviews about those poles breaking etc. but I am telling you that there is not a problem putting it up if you are carefull. Do not stake the tent down firmly until it is up and then put the guy lines up and make it tight - not great directions, but we love it.

We had our 4 boys, an Xtra lg dog kennel, all our clothes and etc and a king size blow up matteress in this tent and still had plenty of room. Of course our kings size air mattress completely took up one end (1 room), but this was not a problem as we had so much extra space. It probably took my husband and I about 30 min to set up the first time for our trial set up. And at camp it took about 20 minutes set up time. Very easy to set up and take down. Fit great back in the bag too. We camped in CA and had some fog from the coast, but the tent did just fine, no leaks. Plenty of space to stand up in the middle room. The dividers are just material you hook on at the corners, so no real privacy, But some privacy. We think this tent will last us a good long time. We even have room to add a few more boys.
