not bad the bags are not "water tight" when sealed. I canoe and these looked like they would be just right for the little things you don't want in your big water tight bag like lighters and phones so i picked up a set. the first day i took them out, as a test run i put a paper towel in one and sealed it up and put it on a line on the back of the canoe. i left it there for about 10 min or so as i canoed around and then checked it. wet towel. the bag wasn't full of water but if i capsized i wouldn't want my Ipod in it. I still use them i just put things like phones in a Ziploc bag inside the bag. They'll take on a big splash no problem but its good to know what they really do. 05/24/2010
Advertised as not Waterproof. Performs as such I'm an active outdoorsman. I use these to store all my gear in my backpack(i have three sets). If you get caught in a downpour without a waterproofed backpack these will make up the difference. They are not advertised as waterproof! But I capsized our canoe with one of these in a day pack and it kept what was inside dry. There was a little bit(a small area semi moist) inside the bag but it was submerged for about 15 minutes. I took them all home dried and cleaned them and treated them with waterproofing spray(also bought at walmart). It has made up the difference and I have not had a problem. I will still keep electronics in a seperate plastic bag inside these as they are not advertised waterproof. I live in The pacific northwest and it gets wet you do all you can to stay dry. Spray everything, backpack ,storage etc with silcone spray, where one fails the next will pick up the slack. 09/14/2010
Great space savers / compression Roll clothes up real tight and stuff them in.As you start to roll/close the bag kneel on it (lengthwise like toothpaste) to squish all the air out and finish closing it.All my backpacking clothes fit in my pack like pancakes!Much cheaper than REI/Sportschalet/SportsAuthorityI've seen these bags at those stores for much more.If they are packed in your pack would they need to be completely waterpoof? 12/19/2010
is not really a dry bag this bag is not really a dry bag, more of a water "resistant" bag. it is nice to store stuff in but don't expect it to stay all the way dry inside. 06/13/2010
