Rated 4 out of 5 by champ837 It does what it does very well. I expected it to be a little more flexible and allow multiple cycles per day but it doesn't. It is easy to setup and program.
Rated 2 out of 5 by JKJB Breaks after two years
We used this maybe once a week in the summers for watering our lawn. I stored it dry and with the batteries removed in the winter in my garage. The third summer, when I went put it on, some mechanism inside had failed. The whole thing filled with water, and fried the electronics. It was completely broken.
It worked well for two years, but this is not a long-lasting product, and for the price I would have hoped it would last a few years at least.
Rated 4 out of 5 by bat1st The timer worked satisfactorily
Set-up was very easy and the valve worked well over a 3 month period. I used 3 of these timers to water plants at a vacation home over the summer, and they kept the plants in good condition. Additionally, I am considering using 20 of these valves to water a 2-2/3 acre grassy area. I tested the valves at a water pressure of 23 PSI. There is some flow restriction, but I was able to supply 2 low volume impact sprinkler heads from one unit. At a price of about $25 per valve, it is feasible to use a group of these timers to irrigate the area.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Blaktech512 Awsome 2AA batteries last 9+ months!
This is a amazingly well designed low cost valve/timer to run anything off a hose I have 3 of these orbit timers they have been working great for the past 5 years they take 2 AA batteries and will work for 9+months running everyday I use one to water the garden daily and the other 2 are connected to run 5 pop up rotor sprinklers. I would recommend this timer to anyone! Try pricing a single battery operated valve/timer used for irrigation they start at $150.00 and this does the same for $24!

The set up was easy enough. Worked the first day then that was it, nothing. Had to use manual everyday afterwards. Reset it thinking that might help, again, worked the next day, then nothing.
Bought another one thinking it was malfunctioning. Nope, the second one did the very same thing. Sadly, I don't have the receipt to take the second one back.

I've had this hose timer for about 3 years. Because I live in Southern California, I need to water year-round, so the timer is continuously outside, attached to the hose bib, in direct sun. It is easy to program, and has been using the same batteries since I bought it. Finally, after all this time the valve is finally breaking down, so it's time for another one. I would not hesitate to buy another or recommend it to anyone.

This water hose timer does what it promised to do. As long as I keep working batteries in it, it waters the plants well. I like the bypass feature where I can manually water at any time and set the length of time. It allows me to set it, then move away from the area before it turns on the water.

Bought this timer 2.2 years ago and it worked fine until yesterday. While checking my garden I noticed the water was on, not at the scheduled time and at a slow rate. I turned the dial to off. heard it click off, then back to auto. After a few seconds I heard it click on again. I hit the reset button, changed the batteries, no matter. Still came back on by itself, unscheduled and at a slow rate. When placed in manual or at the scheduled time a louder click was heard and full flow was observed. Seems to be an electronic problem. Warranted for one year only, this is now useless. Plus, since I don't check the garden every day. I do not know how much water was wasted.
$25 for 2 years 2 months of service, you decide if it's worth it.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Xyeny Best Irrigation Timer in the Universe. WOW
I love this timer. It is so easy to set and change the time of day, water schedule, length of time to water, etc. You will never need to refer to an instruction manual with this one. You never need to do something like "hold down this button for three seconds while standing on one leg". Why can't all businesses develop products that are simple and easy to use.

I bought two of these for my gardens drip irrigation system and they both worked very well. I never had any problems with them and they held up to the outdoor weather great. They will definitely be used again next year. I always like to shop around and found out that walmart had the lowest price for these timers. They are very easy to set up and I never had to change the batteries in them, I used them from March to the end of July. I would recommend these to anybody thinking about buying one of these timers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by waterfalll what a joke, cut flow by 98%
I bought this to keep my pool full as it has a slight leak and I cant let my pumps run dry. When I set it up for 10 minutes a day and turned it on the flow out of the timer was a trickle, even thought my water pressure is fantastic. It would take 10 minutes to release a gallon! Maybe the valve is defective as it only opens a tiny fraction when the unit kicks in to run mode. I am returning the unit and will not buy this brand again. on the plus side the unit was extremely easy to setup. it must be a defective unit, but I'm not willing to keep driving to the store to buy new ones.

Very easy to set up, seems sturdy, has been very reliable.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Mike5046 Easy to program, good flow, one cycle per day works just fine to keep my tomatoes watered.

The first season I used this product, it worked perfectly for the first couple of times. Then I started noticing a water hammer effect when it would try to shut off. I stored it away for the wnter and took it out this season to used and it worked a few times again...and now it does the water hammer effect every time. Neat idea but not a reliable product.
Rated 4 out of 5 by rocknstill This my 3rd time buying this product. During the summer months, it gets pretty "warm" around here. The wife and I work every single day for a couple of months straight, and if it was not for this timer our lawn would not survive. A very good product!!
