Darn Good This lock is robust and a deterrent for the average bozo thief.One of the best features is that you can set your own combination which is really great because I tend to forget lock combinations. It is very easy to set the combination and the instructions are clear.The bracket for mounting the lock on the bicycle is more secure than most. It coils up into a tidy bundle.For the money, this is a very good lock.No lock will stop a determined thief with tools, but this lock will make it inconvenient enough to stop the teen thief or the drunk who just wants to hop on a bike and ride off with it. 07/06/2009
Good lock for the money, but poor frame mount. The lock seems study, strong, and well constructed. The code is easy to set. The dials turn easily and smoothly.PRO:The length is good for locking two bikes together.CON:The cable thickness is on the thin side.The frame mount bracket is very hard to use and very poorly designed.Mounting Bracket Problem:The frame bracket has two parts. One mounts on the bike frame and the other is attached to the lock cable. The bike mounted part has a slot that the other part slides into. In order to release the lock there is a lever to press that does not work properly. It takes allot of wiggling and pulling to get it to release. Furthermore, the lock mounted part is mounted to the cable not the heavy code dial part. As a result, the heavy lock flops around while attached to the mount which can be bothersome while riding. There is a velcro strip attached to the cable that helps keep the bundle togeather but it's just another step to unlocking your bike.Conclusion:The Kryptonite 5' x 12mm, also sold on Wallmart for a similar price, is overall a better lock. If you need the extra length and don’t mind a little less security this this could be a good lock for you. Also keep in mind that the frame mount is not very good. 06/08/2010
Just what I was looking for Great Lock, like that I can change the combination with no fuss. Does what I need it to do. Like the cable holder that tothe bi ke and gets it out of the way. Was easy to install. 08/21/2010
Easy Changing the combination on the lock was very easy. I like the mounting bracket that goes onto the bike for lock storage. 01/01/2010
