    Awesome Camera I bought this camera with the zoom lens for $449, it appealed to me as I wanted a DSLR but did not want a heavy bulky one. This camera is the smallest you can find ( so they state). The body is small but if you add a zoom lens on to it is still bigger than an auto camera, however it is smaller than my friend's Nikon or Canon DSLRs.Operation; extremely easy to use just stick it on auto or sports and it will take great shots. It has all the features you will find on a $1000 Canon. You can take it as seriously as you like or just use auto & it is suitable to learn DSLR photography on.I am SO happy with this camera, a great price less than half of some of the others and it seems to take just as good photos as more expensive ones. I am loving photography now!I bought a 4gb compact flash and it will take 1500 shots on large or 9999 on small size.I attach some photos taken the 2nd time I used it and they are untouched, birds were moving everywhere but I had it on sports and it kept them in focus. You could never get that quality on a shoot on a point & shoot camera it would blur. AWESOME CAMERA! 07/08/2010
    exceptional camera and $$ value. For me, an exceptional camera and $$ value. The Oly E450 replaced a 2006 DSLR and my 35mm film SLR. Evaluating the current DSLR market, the E450 meets my shooting needs. It is small and light weight. Having used other makes of DSLR’s- including some at the time considered top of the line- the E450’s functions, modes, programming options are comparable, effective and easy to program /use. I generally shoot Manual (M) and Aperture (A) settings. The 3 point auto focus is more than adequate for my ‘shooting ‘style: subjects in motion/ candid shots at ISO’s of 100 or 200. Having an ISO setting of 1600 increases low light shooting opportunities- albeit some image noise is apparent when the picture size is enlarged beyond an 8x10 print. (I shoot RAW (.orf) @ ISO 1600 and use software to eliminate most ‘noise’.) The two lenses that accompany this kit are sharp and outstanding. No lab testing, just subjective observations when comparing my picture images and histograms with other models-makes of DSLR cameras. Most pics from any DSLR are of very good to excellent quality. By reading the E450’s instruction manual and through practice-practice- practice- practice, I have become a better low / dim light shooter. The value of any DSLR/SLR- is how I use it and the results achieved. The E450 is an exceptional and effective DSLR offering fantastic picture color, reliability, high-quality optic availability and thus meets my photography requirements. 11/19/2010
    Not exactly what I expected It appears to be a good camera but I found out after tearing into it, studying the manual, trying a few pictures and finally discovered that the Movie mode was not there. Searching the Q and A section of Walmart web site, I discovered that this question had been posed one month ago. The answer was posted only hours ago. There is no movie function on it. It has a burst function for only 8 frames at 3.5 frames per second but no movie and no audio. So, if that is what you want or expect, I do not recommend it. It is a good camera though. I further recommend Walmart delete that bullet from it's add. 10/12/2010
    Good bang for the buck! It's nice to see that Walmart.com finally corrected it's description of this Olympus E-450 DSLR. The description did state that it had a movie mode, but it does not! Many of the customers found out the hard way, after purchasing. But on the good side, it is a quality entry level camera! One can easily compare to units in the $1000 range, and find the same quality. Walmart.com factually has the best price on the internet for this camera. If your looking to get into the world of DSLR, this is a good buy! As stated, it's a great entry level or a quality back up unit. Also, there's issue with Walmart.com where indicated under, "people who bought this item also bought the items below?" Note, this camera model Olympus E-450 does not, repeat "does not" take standard SD cards. Yet, another misleading mistake one can make. All and all, it's a great camera and the best price to be found is right here, on walmart.com. 11/06/2010
