How do I find out the number of calories per container for this particular flavor?
    by ndgirl701845 4/28/2012
    • just to confirm, that's 300 calories per container and not cup as in a measuring cup. Thanks so much, this helps me a great deal as I have one dog that will only eat this food, (after I've bought I don't know how many brands trying to find one she likes) and my other dog also prefers this food as well. But he needs to shed a few pounds so that's why the calorie count is so important! I was feeding him 1/2 a tub and 1/4 cup of taste of the wild wetlands kibble and he was getting to many calories. So by cutting back to 1/4 tub and the kibble it will be just perfect for him. Oh and I mix a little water with it to make a gravy of sorts. They absolutely love it and do their little dance while I prepare their dishes. They NEVER did that when we were feeding beneful kibble, but realized just how bad that food was for them. Since changing to a higher quality food they not only look better, their fur is nicer but their teeth also look so much better as well. This is a high quality food for those wondering and want to find something local instead of going to a specialty pet store for high quality food. For those concerned with the fact that the food is made in Thailand, just google "pet food made in Thailand" and look up the article (it's about 3 down) about another brand made in Thailand if it's good or bad. This quote is in bold face. "Thailand actually has much more restrictive regulations about what can go into pet food so their standards are higher than the U.S. standards for pet food." This dog food doesn't have that stench that other dog foods have. It doesn't smell bad either! Which is a nice bonus feature. Plus the containers are recyclable or reusable.
