Mario Kart Wii is a must have for the Wii game system. This game has greatly improved on the previous games in the Mario Kart Series. It adds several new charactors as well giving you the ability to use your Mii stored on the Wii console. There are many new courses and there are retro courses where you can play course that were on the previous Mario Kart games. There are new items that add to the mayhem of the races that truly test your skill as a racer. Although some may find that the races on the higher difficulty may become too challenging and make it hard to enjoy the game, but I personally enjoy this. The battle has also been completely redesigned and you have to play on teams, which is in contrast to games like Mario Kart 64 and Mario Kart Double Dash where you played as an individual. And when the Wii is able to use its Wi-Fi ability then this takes Mario Kart Wii to a whole new level. All in all, if you enjoy the new way format of Mario Kart Wii and enjoy playing online games then this is a game that you definitely would want in your collection.

This game is very fun-- I particulary like the Wi-fi capabilities. You can play online with up to 16 people across the globe. It is very family friendly and you can play for hours without getting bored. Definitely recommended.

Okay so first off, I am VERY competitive. Mario Kart Wii gave me just the right amount of excitement. I love this game and I would recomend this game to anyone, EVEN people who don't like racing games. So here's how it goes, you use your wii remote inside the wii wheel and race that way, it takes a little while to get used to it at first (I couldn't stop crashing into things) but you will absoulutely love it. You can use WiFi to compete with people around the country, as well as around the world! Or you can just do solo time trials. Not to mention you also can compete with your friends near or far away, which means they can be in the same room, or a whole other state (When using WiFi). It is exciting and entertaining and I love it. I usually don't like racing games, at least not on consoles, but the Wii gives you a more realistic touch and it is one of my favorite games. Also there is so many different things to do and different ways to play you don't get bored. I would definately recomend you buy it.

Have yet to be dissapointed with any of the MarioKart game, dating back to when it was first introduced years ago. This newest version is the best to date.

This is a good game that really makes good use of the WiFi capabilities of the Wii. The levels are great and the challenge is great as well. That being said, this game goes out of its way to reward those who lag behind in each race to the point where you could be leading the entire race and in 2 seconds. You can be hit with all manner of items and the only thing you have to defend your self with 9 times out of 10 is a banana peel. And presto, you went from first to worst. Still a good game but hardcore players should proceed with caution.

First let me tell you i'm 67 yrs. old. So take what I say with a grain of salt. But don't let that fool ya! I may beat you and all of your kids!!! LOL Or not... Mario kart for me was fun from the start, but it had a steep learning curve. Using the Wheel that it comes with or using the nerf wheel, which I bought right away, or using the control with the pigtail was about the same for me. Some races were easy. some were impossible at first, but fun all the same. Buy it you'll enjoy this one!!! Yours Truly TheRealCowboy

  • A. You do not have to have internet access, and you don't even have to buy wheels (although it does make it a bit easier). You can use your Wii remote without the wheel. Nothing else is needed.

  • A. put the game in the player and play, no internet is needed to play. you will need a controller for each wheel and you might find the rechargeable batteries a plus.

  • A. You can just buy the game, no internet connection required. However, you do not need four wheels unless everyone wants to use one. A standard Wii controller, classic controller, or GameCube controller may be used.

  • A. I played without the wheel & NO you dont have to be on line to play. Thats only if you want to race other people in other areas. As long as you have your Wii system,4 controllers, you'll be just fine. They'll love it.

  • A. if the 4 kids are in the same room playing, then you do not need wifi. Wifi is only for players who are in different places ( different state, country, etc). You only need the game and the wheels are optional. You can use the wii controller as a wheel by turning it sideways. I bought the wheels for my nieces and nephews to make it more fun and realistic.

  • A. No you don't need the internet unless you want to play against other people via online. Your kids can just all play together.. up to 4 players. When you buy the game it comes with one wheel so you will have to buy 3 more wheels, that's it.

  • A. You do not need internet access for this game to work. It is only needed if you want to play with someone else over the internet. I would definitely recommend getting 4 wheels, but that should be all you need. Enjoy! This is our family's favorite game!
