It is not that loud at all... I also have a food processor that you definitely need earplugs, so I know what you mean about the horrible noise.

I don't think that it's loud at all. I also have and use a Magic Bullet and I think the noise level on the Ninja is very very reasonable. With the power it has and the blade configuration, I just pulse it a few times and whatever I happen to be making is done. I think it's just fine.....

The Ninja Express is a little loud bit not ear splitting. It also works so fast the noise does not last more than 5 seconds.

If you put items like ice in it, I suppose it would make more noise than if you just put food in it. I do not find it excessively louder than other units of this sort.

The Ninja Express opens from the top. The motor part lifts off. To expose a splash guard which also lifts off and serves as a lid for food storage.

This ninja opens from the top, has a middle lid to cover the bottom, which is where the blades will work.

The top comes off. The bottom can also be used for storage of chopped food.

The red top, which has the 'engine' in it, comes off.

The motorized top comes off which fits over the container and lid for the container. You need to place the blade unit into the container, place the lid over the container, and then the top which holds the motor. It does not have speed controls, but rather you pulse it as needed. I find it easy to use and clean.
Blades are razor sharp and must be handled with caution. For $19.99 it is super powerful.

The Ninja Express is corded. It does not have a battery to use it cordless.

My mom received one as a gift. I used it every day while visiting her. Absolutely love how easy it is to clean and how well it works. So much easier than a blender!  I had to have one for myself.  Works great for smoothies & salsa and I'm sure a whole lot more. Goodbye clunky cuisinart and blender.

Ninja Express Chopper

It is studry and powerful and it looks good. The top does not lock so you have to hold it thight in place or selse it starts turn itself!! All the parts that are in cpontact with food are easily washable (the blades are sharp!). Overall, I think it is a good option.

I had a Cusinart mini chopper for a few years but the blades cracked and the bowl split so that it started leaking.  I would love to have a large food processor but can't really afford one right now.  So I was looking for something that would chop onions and garlic and be able to make guacamole.  This little chopper is the best.  The double blades make short work of any tasks.  It only takes a few pulses and wala it is done.  If you just need a small chopper that can handle just about anything this is the one for you.

For the price can't beat this.

I am pleasantly surprised with this small but powerful chopper/blender.  I use it often for smaller quantities of food stuffs.. previously I was using my high-priced high-speed blender, but it is hard to clean and not practical for small quantities.  The Ninja Express Chopper is perfect for my needs, I wish I had discovered it a long time ago.  The price is good, the shipping was fast, it seems to be well built, the blades are very sharp and easily chop everything. This appliance would be appreciated in all kitchens.

I've bought the cheaper mini-choppers with the side motor mounts; as a matter of fact, quite a few. The safety tab on the top of the container invariably broke. I decided to invest a little more money and get a chopper with either a top or bottom mount without the plastic tabs. While the other choppers I had would take numerous pulses to chop veggies, one or two pulses on this one will do the trick. I was astonished. The double blades really made a difference. A word of caution: the blades are EXTREMELY sharp. Be careful when cleaning.
