Customer Product Reviews

Rated 4.7 out of 5★áby 105reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5★áby I was looking to upgrade my D5100 and this was just the ticket. The 1.3x crop is helpful when shooting wildlife and any other time you want to speed up the fps. 06/23/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★áby great camera for any level camera has lots of great features. take a little time to find out all that is in the menus. this camera has the abilty of photographing any to for a simple portait to a beautiful sunset. It just takes a little time to understand all functions 02/24/2014
Rated 1 out of 5★áby No way would I recommend this I bought this online, and got it in the mail. I took it to my daughter's birthday party and what I got were a combo of actual color and yellow tinted photographs. I brought it home and tested it by adjusting all settings, etc but it still had yellow tint in the photos. I'm a professional photographer, so if you tell yourself, he may have not adjusted the setting a correctly....not true. I ended up returning it and got a full refund. I turned around and ended up buying the Nikon D800 which I LOVE! 02/16/2014
Rated 5 out of 5★áby a camera that borders on perfection Very good detail images, good dynamic range and colors, fine AF system with precission, solid build quality in professional level, a lot of systems like hdr, good video performance, 1.3x drop, 1/250 flash, 2 sd slots, weather sealling in a professional level, ...., the only thing, the buffer size . For me is a perfect camera for all, amateur, advanced amateur, even a professional. 08/12/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★áby Upgraded from the of course great D7000---happy so far I just upgraded from the D7000. So far this camera is great with truly fantastic image quality. When you get images perfectly in focus (use a nice lens, stop it down, etc) it is really amazing how sharp the images are. They blow D7000 images out of the water. I had a slight issue with it focusing with my 50mm 1.4G, but it seems to have resolved itself. Lets hope it stays that way. 04/04/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★áby Love it! The Nikon D7100 is my first DSLR camera. My initial plan was to go with the Nikon D3200 - but everyone I spoke with (shooting with one) tried to sell me their setups, eager to upgrade to the 7100. I wanted a camera that I could grow into-- and I am confident I picked the right one! There is definitely a learning curve coming from a point-and-shoot, some of the controls are unintuitive/ very hidden. That being said- I never sat down with my manual, I just jumped right in and started playing around.Overall, I am so glad I chose this camera as my entry into the photography world. It has been a pleasure learning on. I am happy with the pictures I am taking- they just keep getting better and better. I love this camera and I know I am going to continue to love it for years to come. Still much to learn, but I feel like I am off to a great start, and excited to see what else I can do with it! I would definitely recommend the Nikon D7100 to others just starting off with photography (currently trying to talk my dad into buying one). 07/20/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★áby Great buy! I purchased the D7100 as an upgrade of my D90.I simply love this camera. Price/quality ratio is excellent.Words to describe it would be versatility, rapidity, brightness.Vesatiliy because it can adapt to various condition, with high range if ISO.Rapidity as the response is quick, and you can shoot up to 6 fps.Brightness because I really enjoy to capture bright light. The results are excellent.Photography is my hobby, and I really have fun with this new camera. I encourage you to try it! 08/04/2013
Rated 4 out of 5★áby Excellent, if you know what you're doing. I love it for the most part, ..I left out the 5th star because I shoot RAW, lacks a buffer and has some deep shadow banding. The banding issue can be worked around 95% of the time, and the buffer issue is really up to your shooting habits, but for me it is good enough. And also, it only shoots 5ps (not 6fps) when you are at the highest 14bit raw setting. If you are a jpg shooter,'ll be in heaven! When good (expensive) glass is used, the image quality really shines; but otherwise, it still looks good with cheap glass. The video quality has also much improved over the d7000. And with an external recorder this can become another budget-cinematographer's dream. If you shoot lower than 400 ISO, you are competing against any full-frame (IQ) counterpart. The high ISO's (1600+) are decent, ..about a 1/2 stop better than the d7000. If you down sample the 24mp to 12mp, it rivals the FX d700 in low light. The layout/functionality is good for me, ...but that is really a personal thing. A matter of getting used to it, a gun or a car.The AF is nice and quicker than the d7000, but not light years ahead.Overall it is probably the best crop-sensor camera you'll find for awhile. If you are really on a small budget, ..consider the d5200 or a used d7000. 08/05/2013
