not so dependable I like the features but the camera broke after one month. I get a lens error message. I have never had a camera break this easy so I am leery as to the quality and dependability of the product. 08/15/2011
I loved this camera right up until it died I bought this camera (a brand new model) 5 months ago and LOVED it, right up until the point it mysteriously stopped working (it would turn on but then not respond to any button-pushing. I had to remove the battery to turn it back off). It's currently en route to the service department so we'll see how that goes.Prior to that, my images looked great, I loved the HD video capabilities, the zoom was fun and the out of the box video transfer software was actually pretty decent.Hopefully this will be an easy fix under warranty. 08/15/2011
very clear pictures I just got back from vacation, and a very happy with the quality of the photos. Did extremely well taking pics while in motion as well as being stationary. The zoom is awesome. I did have a little trouble with the movie recording. It seems to skip a little during playback. I will have to test that feature more, but at first glance the video quality is good, but does skip during playback. This is the reason for 4 stars 08/15/2011
