    Rated 5 out of 5 by Does even more than you think! I received this as a Christmas gift. & didn't even know what I was getting. I'm definitely an Apple user, but had never investigated what Apple TV was or did. Wow, this device is amazing! I'm rather "frugal" so wasn't really excited about something that you needed a subscription service like Netflix or Hulu to use. I was given a 6 month Netflix gift subscription at the same time I got this, plus it came with another month free in the package. On Netflix, we have managed to find a fair amount of quality, older movies & newer network programming plus some classic old shows. Now this not only plays Apple devices over AirPlay, but it streams iTunes music even from several PC laptops we have had around (I think having an updated iTunes is key). From the most current Apple devices that have Internet browsing capability (iPads, newer iPhones & MacBooks), through AirPlay, you can wirelessly stream websites and view and listen to the ones that have sound on your large screen TV. Tutorials on Lynda or AdobeTV should work fantastic and streaming worship from Northland or Calvary Chapel is amazing. But where this really shines & the 2 things I use it for most and no one else is mentioning are 1.listening to the massive selection of streaming radio that Apple has- it's just like the iTunes Internet radio stations, and 2.setting up great screen savers of folders of pictures from your iPhoto collection. Fill a folder with favorites or just point to to last roll taken or even photos of the last year, and watch them display in crystal clarity on your living room television. These days, I'm busy scanning old photo albums into iPhoto, just so i can see them 42" large. The key thing to get it to work right, you must stop and restart iTunes on the computer that you stream the iPhoto pictures from. Then, make sure the computer is on and not asleep, otherwise it doesn't show as an source option. Also, there seems to be a limit on the number of pictures that Apple TV will cull from the folder so you might try 150-200 to start with, YMMV, later you can add more. I know it's good; it even impressed the ISP tech when he came by on a house call! 05/27/2013

It's VERY stable and the software is simply streamlined and VERY easy to navigate! I love the beautiful remote it comes with! No bad words for this bad boy! Love it! I SUPER love the fact that I can AirPlay all my media straight to my TV and listen and watch with just one touch of an apple screen! Amazing!! 05/01/2013
