Rated 1 out of 5★ by endless21 Doesn't work with Windows 8 Poor rating for failing to mention clearly on Netgear website or on Walmart website that it doesn't work with Windows 8. Waste of my time -- buying/getting it home/installing/talking to Netgear techsupport to be told it will not work on Windows 8. 01/13/2013
Rated 1 out of 5★ by jones1m Couldn't connect to Dell XPS12 Windows 8 PC I cannot connect Dell XPS12 laptop to PTV3000.Latest WiDi / WiFi drivers for Dell XPS12 didn't help, still no connection. Can't download drivers to PTV3000. Update locks at "Preparing files...".I give it a value rating of "Good" because $50 -$60 would be ok if it worked.Netgear products are usually very high quality. I am sure they will solve the tech problems soon. 02/14/2013
Rated 1 out of 5★ by maqt2013 Get an HDMI cable. You'll need one (from PC to TV) I've purchased ( and returned) two of these PTV3000's now, and am tired of wasting my time, gas, and blood-pressure, to either try to install, or return to store.I've spent NUMEROUS hours with SAMSUNG -my laptop OEM, INTEL - WiDi provider , retailer Tech Support, MICROSOFT - Issuer of Windows 8, and last, but not least... N E T G E A R , the manufacturer of this useless, ill-conceived, poorly tested, and over-promised hunk of plastic. I've taken my laptop, and the device, into the store, several times, and even Best Buy can't get it to work !!!The 1st unit I purchased in December 2012, and it worked for approx. 30 seconds, each time, before "losing connectivity". After many reset attempts, with NETGEAR on the phone, giving me instructions, it finally started displaying the "Ready to Connect" screen, in CHINESE... the one I'm returning today, is now in ARABIC. This one I bought 3 days ago, thinking NETGEAR had 4 months to "work out the bugs". NOPE !!The "paper-clip" reset hole on the back of the unit, as well as, the "side-button" reset, on the side of the unit, are irrelevant. They accomplish nothing, in the end result.I would suggest that retailers stop selling this garbage, until it gets manufactured in a user-friendly, usable way. Or, offer an alternative brand / device, other than Netgear's device !!I DO have great experience with other products offered by Netgear, but THIS particular device is a DISASTER !!! 04/05/2013
Rated 1 out of 5★ by Kinger75002 Product requirements not met The PTV3000 by Netgear does not work for a WiDi-ready Windows 8 laptop recently purchased. 01/31/2013
Rated 1 out of 5★ by Molly155 This device did not work on my laptop. I had my "computer Geek" work on it. Unless you have a very new laptop, this device will not work on most laptops. 03/19/2013
Rated 4 out of 5★ by Careless12 Minimal Problems I bought my Push2TV a little less than a week ago from Amazon and it seems to be working fine for me. However, the one I purchased was the 3000 series which may explain the difference. I have found it to be incredibly easy to set up requiring minimal effort and fiddling on my part. I do have a problem with pixelation but this seems to be minimal and seems to be better now than when I first got it and set it up. I have no idea why this is, probably just coincidence. I did try to load new firmware but for some reason I cannot complete the process and had to do a factory reboot and order to get the thing up again. Other than these issues I have had no problems so far; so here's hoping. I am hoping also that a longer HDMI cable will enable me to bring the receiver closer to the PC and maybe resolve the remaining pixelation issue, although it is a small one at this point. 11/14/2013
