Our Silent Trap is a plug in only trap. No batteries. The attractant is the UV light inside the trap. This very well, specially in low lit  areas.

Getting ready to order another one. Just have to make sure you have room for it on a shelf or counter by an electrical outlet. Fills up quick. I will be looking for the replacement sticky pads.

I cannot say that the weather has been warm enough yet to evaluate this product. I only plug it in when at home in kitchen area, and as of yet, there is only one small fly on the sticky paper. I hope it will attract all the tiny flyers that come with the warm humid season.
