I pre-ordered this book and it arrived today. It didn't take long to read the book because it was less than 150 pages. I really wanted this book because Neferet is my favorite character from A House of Night. To be honest, I thought this book would be a lot better than it was. This book does give insight into Neferet's past but it is a hard read. Most of the book leading up to the event that changes Neferet's life goes by rather slowly and is pretty boring and the main event is over quickly. This book is not as good as Dragon's Oath or Lebonia's Vow but is a must read for all House of Night fans because to better unstand Neferet, even though a lot of it has been revealed in other books.

The book iself left me wanting to know more about why Neferet chose the path she took. The events that take place in the book don't seem like enough to send her so far over the edge, they had to be more stuff that happened.

Must read for HON fans.
