Rated 5 out of 5★ by jaceravone Searched for several weeks on-line looking for the ideal replacement for our 4 year old Vicks humidifier which did the job perfectly fine. I am a gadget guy and I was naturally was drawn to some of the more expensive ultrasonic humidifiers by Air-O-Swiss and Stadler. During my search I stumbled upon this model by NatureSpirit but could not find any reviews on it. Backed by Walmart's return policy, I decided to save several hundred and give this a shot. I have to say that I was immediately impressed with the design of the unit. It doesn't stand out like a sore thumb unlike our old Vicks unit and you don't need to constantly change the filter. Also, it has a lot of bells and whistles that I like. You have the choice between cool or warm mist at 3 variable speeds. Also, it is a negative ion generator. I have no idea if this really works, but it sounded like something that I would need. ;) It also has several timer functions which could be useful, but I don't use. In addition to all this, it came with a remote control which I thought would be especially useful when I am laying in bed and don't want to move. If I were to point out some negatives, it would be that the remote doesn't work as well as I had hoped. You have to be standing right in front of it for it to work, but truthfully, I didn't use it as much as I thought I would, so this is not an issue for me. The tank is only 5L - a tad bit over 1 gallon which once again is not a problem for me, but we do go through a tank a night. If you use the humidity setting feature, you may be able to get longer use out of it. I do like the auto shut off feature once the tank runs out of water. Other than what I had mentioned, I really like this unit and compared to the other high end humidifiers, I think you are getting a good product at a great price. As far as long term value, we have yet to see if it stands up to year long use as did our Vicks unit. 02/13/2012
Rated 4 out of 5★ by GabrielX11 Good design, lacking features for the price Good:1. Design2. Capacity3. Remote4. Lights are not too brightLacking:1. Does not have an "On" timer, so I could tell it to turn on automatically before I go to bed. (it should do that for the price I paid)2. The humidistat is not very precise. It senses a lot more humidity near the unit. If you want 50% humidity, set it to 70-75%. 10/25/2012
Rated 1 out of 5★ by Jason777 Lots of Features and Looks Nice, If it Worked Filled it up, plugged it in and it ran for about a minute then told me the water level was low. Have tried to get it to work again with no luck. Customer support tried to help by suggesting things I had already tried so then they wanted me to send it in for repair/replacement. I don't really want the hassle of packing/shipping, hoping it gets there and back, will the new/fixed one really work, etc. Taking it back. 02/28/2012
