There is a plastic disc that is under the ring and nipple and Im curious as to if Im supposed to remove it before using it, or supposed to keep it in there... An answer would be appreciated.
    by an anonymous customer 7/12/2012
    • You need to use it when you mix the formula so that the formula will not come outside.

    • Yes you need to remove it. The disc is basically a stopper you use it for example when you need to fill the bottle with water when you take a trip it stops any water from leaking out of the nipple.

    • Yes you remove it for cleaning and when you give it to the baby. It is just there for when you have the bottle in your baby bag or purse so it does not spill

    • That plastic disc is for storage to keep the contents fresh. You're supposed to remove it before using.

    • yes you will find that there are alot of bottles that come with that disc its good to hang on to them and if you are going somewhere and you have water in the bottle put that disc back on it helps so the water doesnt leak out but then again i never use them i think i did once

    • Yes, you are to remove it. It is only there for freshness purposes. So in the case that you were to pre-pour breastmilk/formula, you can put it in the fridge, etc.... that disk is just to keep it fresher.

    • Yes you are suppose to remove that. It is there so you can shake the bottle up with the nipple on it and it won't leak anywhere. Great idea.

What flow is this nipple? And can I buy any NUK nipple to fit this bottle?
    by TRaeK 7/18/2012
    • These bottles have medium flow nipples. You need to buy NUK Silicone Orthodontic Nipples for these bottles.

    • This package should say the flow of the nipple on the front of the packaging. It will say the flow amount and the age range. Usually 0-3 mths is slow flow, 3-6 is medium flow, and 6-12 is fast flow. You can purchase a separate pack of nipples at walmart in all the ranges. They sell them right there with the bottles and they're usually 2 in a pack for $4. Any size flow NUK nipples will fit this product perfectly You can even look on the bottom side of the NUK nipples and it will have a "S" for slow, "M" for medium, and "L" for large flow.

    • They come with a slow flow nipple but you can purchase medium and fast flow nipples. My daughter wouldn't have anything to do with the slow flow nipple and I had to purchase the fast flow.
