  • A. When hubby uses the weedeater he does distroy it, but now he's not allowed within 3 feet with weedeater in hand. For planting a garden in it, you can't beat the price or space.

  • A. The pool doesn't have hard sides/bottom. It's a pliable vinyl. I have had this pool for months and my parents have had a similar one for several years and there is been no tearing so far. It comes with a patch just in case of a tear. The bottom is more likely to tear than the sides.

  • A. The sides are hard but the bottom is soft so it forms to whatever surface you put it on (like a regular blowup pool). The sides are not stiff but flexible.

  • A. It has semi-hard sides that fold down to let out water. The material of the bottom of the pool is equivalent to a pool liner material. I have had mine for over a year and it has not torn. I also, do not let my kids have sharp or pointed edged toys in it. And they do not rough house in the pool.

  • A. since it was only used once, I never found out but one thing is certain, it is very high risk of tearing though. The sides does not stay up. I doubt whoever invented this product never tried filling it up with water and with kids in it. don't buy it.

  • A. Nope. The way they recommend to skim or empty is to "fold down" part of the side to let out the water you want. We bought a hand skimmer (a little net) to collect any leaves, bugs, etc, that found their way in. We also bought a tarp to cover the pool when we weren't using it. Stays quite clean.

I'm about to buy my 3rd pool to use as a raised bed. As long as I can keep hubby away from it with the weedeater I'll have a number of years of great use. I also leave them up all year long.

I knew what I was buying BEFORE purchasing this pool. It is like $12.00 so yeah, you're gonna get what you pay for. I bought one for my daughter about a year ago and it did what I needed it to. I didn't need anything too fancy because she's 4 and now my 1 year old will be in it too this summer. I can set it up by myself and clean it after storage easily by myself. It's not rocket science. Just make sure not to let your kids have any toys or items with sharp edges (just as if they were in any pool with a liner, etc). Common sense :) Of course fill it up where you plan of letting it stay. How many pools can you fill and move other than the baby ones? Back to common sense. :) I would recommend this pool to anyone with small kids that are not wanting to spend an arm and a leg for a kiddie pool. Just an little tip when filling the pool is just walk around the edges as its filling and pull the sides out. I normally stand IN the pool and smooth out the bottom with my feet. Not hard at all. :)

I've read some of the reviews of this pool and I must say that I was disappointed to read the negativity as we have had no problems with this pool. For the price and for what it is, its been worth the $12 we spent on it. This pool only stays up when its filled with water.....thats what a snap-set pool is. The best way to set this up is to find a really flat surface where you want the pool to be keeping in mind that once its full of water you won't be able to move it unless you empty it. We bought a tarp to cover it when we weren't using it and a hand skimmer to take out leaves and grass that got in. Its a great investment for the small amount of money and unlike blowup pools, the sides on this are more durable so the risk of damage is much less likely. We have a VERY active 2yr old and even though she's in and out of the pool all the time, its held up very well. As with all pools we have had to keep an eye on her because she would tend to lean on the sides thinking that they were solid, but they do yield to weight, so she would fall in or out. She has since gotten the concept of not leaning on the pool. Overall I would highly recommend this to anyone just looking for a bigger sized pool without spending a fortune.

I never wrote a review before, but if this saves someone else the grief of this pool then it will be worth it. I didn't buy this for children, I bought it to keep my Koi in while I cleaned the pond. I put it up myself even though the instructions said two people. Two people would have been better! Another person could have helped keep the sides from colapsing as it filled, a real pain for one person. I had the pool about a third of the way filled when it became clear that it wasn't going to work, very flimsy. I went back and bought a rigid plastic pool, much better! If you have children in the pool and they grab a side, the thing is going to empty out, and your back to setting it up. Do yourself a favor and spring for something better in the first place!

great to cool off in

we bought this pool to set up for us (2 adults) to cool off in. We have 2 big dogs, 1 that loves pools. Inside the dog pen (which we don't use anymore for the dogs) we laid down a tarp, on concrete, then 2 old comforters, another tarp, then the pool. Made a nice cushion when sitting in it, then stretch another tarp over the dog pen for a sunshade. Awesome...easy to set up, great for splashing around in, cooling off. Total cost, with the tarps, for us to have a pool to ourselves away from the dogs $20 & a couple old comforters that we were never going to use anyway. LOVE THIS POOL!!

I was able to put this up by myself, with the help of filled water buckets....I used them to hold up the pool sides until the water filled up enough. I bought it for the neighbor child, but I enjoy sitting in it myself. I'm 5'6 and 180 lbs. Glad I bought it!!!!

I have a very active 21 mo. old grandson & he loves water. We had the traditional hard plastic sm pool last yr, but thought we would get a larger one for this summer. I didn't realize the sides were so flimsy & collapsable. This might work for a child under 1 yr old, but then it would be too deep and too big. I don't know why they would make such a poorly constructed product.

I was really expecting this pool to be a little bit more complicated to set up and I got surprised to see the easy it was, just unroll it, straight it up and fill with water.. it will take the shape as it fills. It is a good size, I have a 6 years old and a 2 year old and they fit perfectly, they play and enjoy the sun and I don't have to worry about them drowning or anything. I feel relax! It is a good pool.

Went to set this pool up, much to the amazement of 3 small children, as I was filling it up with water, I noticed a wet spot on the side... the item ALREADY had a tear in the seam, out of the box! Thought, oh no, I wonder if it came with a patch... yes, it did, but its a clear patch like you patch up an inflateable, that's not going to work for a seam! Or anything like this, this pool has no inflateable parts. Very disappointed kids. Have this thrown into the back of the truck, taking it back tomorrow, hopefully will get my money back! DO NOT BUY!

My two boys love splashing around in this pool. Sometimes the sides collapse but that's because I have a baby and preschooler, so I keep the water level low. The diameter is big enough that the boys have room to roll around with all their pool toys. It's also big enough for adults to sit in comfortably, which is necessary for us moms with clingy babies! We spend a lot of time outside in the summer, and this pool is great for those hot days. Once we're done for the evening, it's easy enough to collapse the sides to drain the water out and roll the pool up for use another day.
