    great to cool off in

we bought this pool to set up for us (2 adults) to cool off in. We have 2 big dogs, 1 that loves pools. Inside the dog pen (which we don't use anymore for the dogs) we laid down a tarp, on concrete, then 2 old comforters, another tarp, then the pool. Made a nice cushion when sitting in it, then stretch another tarp over the dog pen for a sunshade. Awesome...easy to set up, great for splashing around in, cooling off. Total cost, with the tarps, for us to have a pool to ourselves away from the dogs $20 & a couple old comforters that we were never going to use anyway. LOVE THIS POOL!!

    Raised Bed Pool

    Customer review by Quigleymax

I'm about to buy my 3rd pool to use as a raised bed. As long as I can keep hubby away from it with the weedeater I'll have a number of years of great use. I also leave them up all year long.

I bought this for a place to cool off and have some water play for granddaughters who are 6, 3 and 1 1/2. We had one like this until last summer when their dad threw it out but we loved it and got a new one this year. Just what we wanted and have already had a lots of fun.

    Does it tear easily?

    • The sides are easily cracked

    • When hubby uses the weedeater he does distroy it, but now he's not allowed within 3 feet with weedeater in hand. For planting a garden in it, you can't beat the price or space.

    • The pool doesn't have hard sides/bottom. It's a pliable vinyl. I have had this pool for months and my parents have had a similar one for several years and there is been no tearing so far. It comes with a patch just in case of a tear. The bottom is more likely to tear than the sides.

    • the sides are kinda hard plastic, but the bottom is a thin rubber liner. I had not problem with it, but we've only set it up once.

    • The sides are hard but the bottom is soft so it forms to whatever surface you put it on (like a regular blowup pool). The sides are not stiff but flexible.

    • The bottom is vinyl, but the sides are flexible, but hard. It won't tear unless you're rough with it . It's like any other pool bottom.

    • It has semi-hard sides that fold down to let out water. The material of the bottom of the pool is equivalent to a pool liner material. I have had mine for over a year and it has not torn. I also, do not let my kids have sharp or pointed edged toys in it. And they do not rough house in the pool.

    • since it was only used once, I never found out but one thing is certain, it is very high risk of tearing though. The sides does not stay up. I doubt whoever invented this product never tried filling it up with water and with kids in it. don't buy it.

    • No plug. It's a soft plastic. Since I use it as a raised bed I cut up the bottom for drainage.

    • No, this pool doesn't need a plug. The sides are easy to collapse to drain the water out of the pool.

    • no it has no drain plug, you have to just push the sides in & let it drain over the side.

    • Nope. The way they recommend to skim or empty is to "fold down" part of the side to let out the water you want. We bought a hand skimmer (a little net) to collect any leaves, bugs, etc, that found their way in. We also bought a tarp to cover the pool when we weren't using it. Stays quite clean.
