Rated 4 out of 5 by mowinggrandma Mows like a champ. Great little mower, however the seat is kind of "bouncy" and very sensitive and will shut off if you lean over to duck a hanging branch. I love the bigger chute which does keep the mower from getting jammed with cut grass. The ride could be smoother, but this is the economy model, so overall I would recommend it. It can also go really fast for those of us who don't like to take all day to mow. 05/15/2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by lkstltltrktr Is Murray worth it? I bought a 17.5 hp 42 in. ( model 425007×92) at the local Walmart store, that's no longer there, back in 2000 and I didn't want this mower for nothing. I seen it as a scrapping the bottom of the barrel product. I couldn't afford anything else so I just went with it because I had a catastrophic accident that left me desperate for a change from my old push mower. Anyway, I just treated it as something to get me through till my ship came in. However, after all these years and neglect this little tractor has endured. Years of being left out in the rain, hardcore terrain that's busted blades and towers, steep hill tests in every direction, countless yards in multiple counties and ungodly hours of riding. I haven't changed the oil more than 3 times. I've never cleaned or winterized it. When it did need the carburetor cleaned it was so easy. I've replaced the spark plug 2 times cause they fouled out. Sometimes I even just fired it up just to ride my restless 1 yr. old baby girl around til she fell asleep on it, now she rides around on it at 14 yrs. old just to be doing it or cut the grass if she takes the notion. Parts have never been hard to find and not too pricey either. I've always wanted a more up to date zero turn rear engine 60 in. bad boy that so many others have, but that was never in the budget cause this mower still seemed to serve it's purpose. It's the first and only riding mower I've ever bought and I am about to purchase another one. Believe it or not, the motor, transmission, chassis, wheels, the mowing deck, and all safety features still work. The only thing it needs right now is a new fuel tank cause it finally dry rotted. Yes, I easily found a new one for 68.00 by using the information right there on the decal under the hood and p/n displayed on the tank. So heck yea I'd recommend one to anyone. After all she's more dependable than mostly everything thing else and even some people. This mower has out lasted brand new motorcycles, four wheelers, go carts, cars, trucks, dogs, cats, flooring, furniture, appliances, cell phones, computers, a/c units, water heaters, shop tools, weed eaters, presidents, war, some peoples teeth, and even my own kids finally grew up and moved on with their own families. I definitely have gotten my monies worth out of it and no, she's not much to look at, but the memories are priceless. I hate to admit it, but looks like it out lasted me, and it's got my respect. Thanks Murray. we couldn't had done it without you! 05/19/2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by cpet05 Superb value and price! After researching riding mowers available from every store, I came to the conclusion this was the best value and the most reliable purchase I could make. I am happy with the riding lawn mower and I would recommend this one to anyone wanting to 'get-r-done'. 05/17/2013
