Really suprised how easy One day in May of this year (2010) we happened into the store on a warm day (65+) with visible sunshine outside. (actually occassionally happens in Seattle) I was looking for an espresso machine when we saw this baby. Considering it rather warm outside we figured the possibility of a 'hot' (70+) afternoon and the idea of a frappe at home sounded really good, so, we took one home with us. When we arrived home we found it to be excessively HOT, it had to be 85, at least, inside the house; a frappe sounded really good! After turning on the air conditioner, we used it twice in 2009, but it still worked, hadn't rusted out yet, I pulled the Frappe out of the box, washed it thorougly and while reading the instructions made our first pot. (note: I rarely read instructions, it was just one of my off days so I looked inside the manual.) So, as it turns out, my first try was excellent and enough for both of us to have very refreshing frappechinos. (sp?) Instructions are very simple, add 1/2 cup water, 5 scoops (tbsp) of ground coffee, 1/2 cup milk, some ice and push the button and wait a few minutes and you should have an excellent drink to cool off with.Notes: you'll need to purchase some paper filters, small (1-4 cup) Don't use crushed ice, your refrigerators ice maker is perfect but ice cubes will also work. At the end of the brewing cycle the ice grinding process starts without notice so, warn your family and pets in advance. It will still scare the heck out of everyone but the panic is short lived; everyone may become accustom to it eventually. Get one, treat yourselves, you deserve it! BTW if found an excellent Mr Coffee espresso maker at another store. Mr. Coffee product code ECMP50 its pretty awesome for the price. LOL, my wife just told me the sun was 'coming out', she lied. Frappe Maker I am an avid frappeoholic. This machine makes the process simple and the results are fantastic. With my own ingredients I can almost equal Starbucks quality at a fraction of the cost. It automatically makes a 20 ounce frappe in less than 3 minutes after putting in the ice and my own special goodies. Great product at a great price. I shall soon get the cost/frappe down to less than 25 cents each by the end of summer. 06/26/2010
