This coffeemaker is good on a budget. It has the programmable feature and 2 hour shut off. It does sometimes leak coffee pouring into cup. I would say spend a little more and get a better one. I 'am happy with it

This is what you expect from the name Mr Coffee. The pot does not dribble when you pour a cup of coffee. The coffee stays nice and hot. The delay brew is awesome, you wake up and coffee is ready to drink. Also, when you pour the water into the coffee maker, there is no mess of water getting water on your counter, the opening is a generous size. I use it twice a day and bought two more for Christmas presents. The price is sensational, less than $20.

This coffee maker lasted 2 weeks and just quit. You have to pour the coffee slow or it will spill on the counter. Will not buy another Mr. Coffee Maker. The last coffee maker that I had lasted over 15 years. It was a black a & decker and the best coffee also.

Mr. Coffee has gone to pot

The basics, Bad pot design makes a mess Bad materials, paint bubbles and chips Bad reliability, internal heating system fails Can't be clean easily making it highly prone to failures Mr. Coffee use to be a great name in coffee pots. I had one for 10 years without an issue. This is why I kept buying them when it finally did break. Unfortunately, they just don't last any more. I went through many of these where I would get one and it would last almost a month or maybe even two. After going through the constant return for equal product about 4 times, I finally got one that has lasted about a year. The first issue you'll have with this product will be the first cup of coffee you pour. When you pull the pot out the little stopper does not work well. It drips a lot at first then slows but will not stop. Also, you have to pour VERY slowly or it just dribbles over the spout and down the sides of the pot and onto your counter. In addition, it will spill out onto the heat plate VERY easily. This is bad because once it gets to a certain point, or you put the pot back in with coffee on it, it overflows the lip and down under the plate it goes. This simple design flaw is a HUGE problem for this unit. This is why the black paint or what ever they put on the heat plate is all bubbled, cracked and chipped off. The plate on mine is rusting now. When the water or coffee drips onto it there is a huge heat difference causing quick wear to the paint. Now once you get coffee under that plate, it’s all over. It gets in there and fowls up the electronics and makes the buttons very sticky. They also use key head screws so you can't even just pop open the bottom and clean then out. A simple fix for DIY people, would be to buy a can of electrical cleaner spray from the Wal-Mart auto section. Just unplug the unit, unscrew the 6 screws on the bottom, spray it out, let it dry (30 seconds) and put it back together. Mr. Coffee, if you’re listening, you could solve the entire problem by using a pot with a wider pour spout, and a little hi-temp silicone around the base of the heat plate where it sits on the base. Even if all you did was put in the silicone it would be the biggest improvement. We’d have messy counters but a unit that lasts. If you already have one and it hasn’t failed yet. Go look at the tubes of silicone and find a good color (clear, white, black…). Just check the temp rating and get something that can handle say 250 degrees or higher. Just use your finger to squish it into the crack between to the heat plate and the base. No need to unscrew it or anything.

With a name like MR. Coffee, you'd think they could get the 1 product they make RIGHT! This is my 2nd coffee pot that has decided to stop working. The first wouldn't brew, replaced it with this one and in 3 months, the entire thing is dead. If you're looking for a reliable product, don't choose this one!

We purchased this coffee pot a few months ago, since our last Mr. Coffee from several years ago took a nose dive. I was immediately disappointed with the first freshly brewed cup of coffee. You couldn't pour a cup from the carafe without standing over the sink to catch the spills. Apparently, Mr Coffee thought it would be funny to include a "dribble pot" with their new coffee maker. I wasn't laughing. But, OK. It still makes coffee. Just a minor inconvenience. Then yesterday morning, with no warning at all - it just stopped. We went thru the normal routine, pushed the button, the light came on, and nothing happened. No coffee. Thank goodness I had a jar of instant!!! Not at all worth the money for 4 months of use. I intend to contact company, but don't expect much. We bought a different brand to replace it.

I have recieved this coffee maker as a christmas present in 2010, yes it has lasted this long and its still perkin, but alot of times the grounds from my coffee end up in the final product. it has an auto shut off which is a pain in the butt, being an on the go stay home mom of six I NEED MY JAVA! If I get busy and get a moment to sit I go to grab a cup of joe and it had shut off and got cold and I absolutely hate cold coffee, if I turn it back on beware it will burn your coffee! You also have to make sure that you have the pot under the basket just right because if it is just the slightest off you will have a counter that has had more coffee than you! Having this one as long as I have I adjusted getting around and being attentive to this machine, but honestly I can't wait for it to croak, so that I can get a new machine other than this brand! Luckily for me this one was free other wise this would of gotten the boot after the first week.

I have used Mr Coffee products for 20 years and have never had a problem with them. After I purchased this latest product, I noticed that the coffee seemed to be hotter than the others I have owed. That's OK, except I think the hotter temperature water causes it to perk faster, causing the filter to over flow. I can only perk 8 cups at a time. If I perk 9 cups or more, I end up with coffee grounds in the the pot every time.
