i raise titapia and have used this to filter my 50 gal tank, 300 gal tank and final 4500 gal tank. it is the pre filter and all i have ever done is rinse with well water. i have never lost a fish in the last 2 years. when it gets real dirty, so that the flow slows down, i just rinse and reuse until it starts falling apart. do not use city water to rinse due to chlorine in it. i plan to make another bio filter for the house aquarium, i have lost fish using the filters that came with the aquarium but i'm having a little trouble convincing my wife my home made bio filter don't look that bad.by yalaharoy9/6/2014Was this answer helpful? I have fish and would not use this. This may be just personal preference.by Bambi19675/14/2014Was this answer helpful? (0) (0)Was this answer helpful?
I would be wary of using this for a fish tank. If you choose to take your chances, please make sure it's clean and free of oils from the manufacturing process. (wash it in vinegar and rinse very well)by taterhater12/4/2013Was this answer helpful? (0) (0)Was this answer helpful?

No. I use it to stuff dolls which is made with flame retardant materials. The stuffing is inside of it.by Suecbc5103/22/2013Was this answer helpful? (0) (0)Was this answer helpful?
I use for indoor pillow and I make dolls. It works fine. Should be fine to stuff anything. As long as the outside material is weather proof then whatever is inside should be protected.by Bambi19675/14/2014Was this answer helpful? (0) (0)Was this answer helpful?
I use this stuff occasionally as an applicator for liquid dyes. It does NOT hold water/dye well. So I think it might be good for outdoorsby taterhater12/4/2013Was this answer helpful? (0) (0)Was this answer helpful?
