    Makes a great nighlight Pros:====* Super easy to hang on the wall and light enough that you aren't limited to the studs.* Three-dimensional look and feel -- even looks cool when it's off.* The remote only has three buttons: on/off, manual cycle through the 12 phases, and auto-cycle (5 seconds between phases), so it's easy for a child to use.* Stays on for 30 minutes, then shuts off automatically.Cons:====* Eats batteries. (4 AAA in the moon, 2 in the remote)* The remote is small -- a little bigger than a contact lens case -- so it's easy to misplace. 05/29/2009
    Perfect child awareness I am a grandmother and have a cabin. My bedroom is decorated in wolf designs. The moon fit in the decor perfectly! The children love to see it lit up at night, especially as it goes through the 12 phases. Enjoyment and educational too! Works great as a night light for thirty minutes as your child falls asleep, then shuts off automatically. I am going to purchase a second moon for a grandchild with special needs, as it seemed to calm her. 07/11/2009
    Fun for kids at bedtime:) This is really cool. If your kids love to see the real moon at night then they will love their own moon in their room. It goes through 12 phases of light to dark. My kids are 8 and 9 and they share a room and love to see it shine in their room at bedtime. It is remote control so they will have control of what it does which makes it really fun! A fun gift that is not expensive and a lot of fun to watch! Your child will love it:) 10/15/2009
    Educational, Cool Nightlight I am a 6th grade teacher and moon phases are in our cuuriculum. I originally bought this for my classroom to use as a great way to help students remember the moon phases for those TCAP tests. But when I got it I thought I'd try it out in my sons room (ages 4 & 8). They absolutely LOVE it. Now they are anxious to go to bed so they can see "the moon". The disc that comes with it is good too. At home we just use the automatic switch so it goes off without wasting the battery. I love that you can click it one phase at a time because I will use that option when TEACHING the names of the phases.Now I just need to buy another one for my class, and will purchase more for gifts. 06/03/2009
