It does make the tv come out off the wall but it shouldn't matter since the reason for getting this product would be to move the tv while mounted

The specs show a minimum extension 7" and the Maximum Extension 7" would this not put the tv 7" off the wall?

Monoprice continues to amaze me with quality products at bargain prices.  The big box retailers cringe when I tell them I get my accessories like cables and wall mounts at MONOPRICE.  This wall mount is listed at retailers in the $150-250 range.  MONOPRICE $52 plus free shipping coupon.  
Works great, looks great and I love the versatility AND built in-level came in handy (since I'd left mine in another car). 
My only warning:  Be sure to have a strong second person to help install it.  The mount is HEAVY to hold while measuring and marking.  Plus, weight mandates STUD anchoring for screws. This is now the SIXTH wall mount I've purchased from MONOPRICE and installed.  All are high quality and durable.

People listen, these TV mounts are off the hook. Monoprice has a very nice selection with GREAT quality. 

However, there Apple charging cords with the LIFETIME guarantee is a JOKE. They want you to send the cable back which is more in shipping costs that the cable itself. STAY AWAY from their cables. I've purchase 4 over the last 3 years and they have ALL failed...JUNK!!!!!!!!!!!! I just had my most recent cable rejected. Get one from Amazon. At least they honor their return policy......buyer beware!

TV Brackets are 100% AWESOME...Apple charging cords GARBAGE

This mount is perfect for keeping my LG 65" OLED extremely close to the wall while still allowing significant articulation.  Setup was simple and the mount feels robust.  I've only had extremely positive experiences with Monoprice mounts (4 total) and they're my go-to solution for monitors and TVs.

Excellent Low Profile Mount with Good Articulation

We liked it, and it worked very well, but we did switch it out for a fixed mount only because we wanted something that sits closer to the wall (we upgraded to a tv with better side-viewing). This sits a few inches out because of the full-motion capability, and we didn't think about that before purchasing. Other than that, it arrived quickly and was as advertised.

This is what I was looking for for a new 43" TV to be mounted to the wall. My husband and a friend with experience mounted it to the wall without issue. You definitely need two strong people to do it.
I am giving four stars because, while it does swivel side to side, it does not tilt up and down without removing the TV and adjusting two pieces of the mount. To me, the description is misleading as it says its a full-motion articulating mount.
It does stick out from the wall several inches, which some people might mind. 
Overall, I recommend this mount for the solid construction and the good price.

Hefty and Solid TV Mount

Shipped quickly. A little on the heavy side which made mounting difficult. Easier with a second set of hands. Used lag bolts (supplied) into studs and blocking I added before drywall. Good sturdy construction.  Supported my 75in Samsung (73.6 lbs.) with ease, even when extended. Pictures attached.

Great Wall Mount

I used this mount for an LED TV and an OLED TV (both 65"). The mount is very strong and can take the weight of a big TV...there's no doubting that. However, the hinges are very stiff and require a good deal of force to move the angle of the TV. If you have a very thin TV, like an OLED, be very very careful about moving the TV from the outer edges of the TV. This could turn out to be a big problem for your TV.
