Mommy's Helper - Contoured Potty Seat 16 20
Great Deal- Even for a Boy! This was the second seat I purchased when we started potty training our son. We decided that the seat we disliked would be the one we kept at my inlaws' house, assuming that this would be the one. WRONG! I love it! It's so cushy, and fits my son just perfectly. I believe that using the seat that goes on our toilet seat has been a tremendous help in helping him use the potty when we're away from home. A potty chair wouldn't have given him the confidence for that!I do agree that the deflector shield is not huge, and yes, I do get peed on, but part of potty training is teaching our boys to poke everything down where it should be when they're on the toilet! Even on our other seat, which has a better shield, he still manages to spray me sometimes. I like that the part which goes down in the toilet is longer than other seats, so I feel that it fits more securely. Also, the fact that it has the built in ring and comes with a storage hook is a huge plus for me! I have the hook on the side of my bathroom cabinet (which is formica), and I haven't had any issues with it falling off. I'd definitely purchase it again- and will probably recommend it for my inlaws! 04/13/2010
Not as bad as everyone makes it seem! So first off the price is sooo reasonable! I bought this while potty training my son because the other potty seats were a hassle to clean. My son loved the little ducks on this and it was very comfortable for him to use. Not sure why everyone is saying it wasn't designed w/ boys in mind... my son did great with it! I still have it a year later and will be using it to potty train my daughter. Only downfall was that the hook does not stick no matter what you do but honestly wasn't a big deal for me. 03/17/2010
Best seat for GIRLS - NOT for BOYS This is a FANTASTIC seat for girls. So comfortable, can sit on my oval toilet as well as a round one, lots of padding, and it's the only seat my son feels secure enough to sit for a while on. Only problem is that the splash guard bump doesn't stop anything :) He says "Uh oh" and there is stuff going right over the top onto the floor. :) Too bad because it's the most comfortable potty seat. So if you have a girl, this is the one you should get! 03/16/2010
Not for little boys This training pot is not good for little boys. The deflector shield was not constructed with curve. It does not work well for potty training little boys. 03/21/2009
