Having attempted several times over the course of this past year to train my now 3.5 y/o daughter, it wasn't until I brought this home that we were successful! I think that, besides this being well worth every penny and super easy to set up, this helped her feel like a big girl climbing up on the potty. As well, that she felt secure on the seat as even with all her moving around the seat doesn't slide around. This is the ONLY seat we tried that wasn't a standalone potty seat that worked for this purpose. All the others we tried moved around on top of the toilet seat which mildly freaked her out and gave her pause. I certainly wish I hadn't wasted my money on the other, substandard contraptions! The only suggestion I could make is if the mfr could somehow add a side tray for books and toilet paper roll holder, that would be awesome! Otherwise, I am in love with this device and will happily recommend it to others without hesitation!

My son and I are loving this seat

I bought this for my son. Hes not even two and pretty much potty trained on a potty seat. I bought this one because he wants to use the big toilet but he is scared of falling in. This seat gives him so much confidence. He goes in, sets it up himself, uses it, flushes, and puts it away. I love how independent it has made him. He even gets mad if I try to help him. Hes growing up so fast!

This seat was an important part of training, because they can go to the bathroom with a solid set-up and they don't have to ask for help. We have a new house and it fits just fine on any seat. My parents have a higher toilet, but they just put towels under it and it works just fine - they are buying one too. This is easy to clean, it also folds up pretty compact. The girls carry it when we pack up to go, and they can go up and down the stairs with it in their hands. It is lighweight, yet very sturdy. I am very impressed and would definitely recommend this, it was worth the money.

  • It is pretty sturdy. I hold my sons hand when he turns around because it can wobble. But he puts it on and off the potty himself and he is only 2yrs old.

  • Super easy to set up - my just-turned-3-year old could do it pretty easily. It just flips up & back down. She/he may need help the first few times getting it in place just right, though! (so it's sitting flat) It's fairly sturdy, but the piece that attaches the hinge to the bottom of the seat is plastic - our first one cracked & broke off on one side after quite a bit of use (well, maybe a total of 6-9 mos of use).

  • It is very simple to install, set up on and remove from the toilet. It took my husband no more than 10 min. to put it together. Unlike permanent fixtures, it is not as sturdy as I would like it to be. However, it will support your child until they are tall enough to sit on the toilet without assistance. I would not recommend using the step to support an adult's weight.

  • I think its sturdy and it is easy to set up. this is kept right near my toilet set and my grandson even puts this on the toilet seat.

  • Yes, sturdy and easy to set up. If you have an elongated toilet seat, it probably won't fit properly, but you can push it to the back of the toilet seat and it should be fine.

  • Sturdy, easily slips onto the toilet with one hand, even while carrying a fussing toddler with the other arm. It has rubber bottoms on the step to keep it from sliding, and 4 little hooks to keep the seat in the toiletseat.

  • Fairly sturdy, but I would hold the bottom of one leg until the child gets the hang of getting on and off, which happened pretty quickly for my 19 month old granddaughter. Totally easy to set up, it took me less than 10 minutes and I was on the phone while I was assembling it.

  • We use it on top of the toilet seat. I would not recommend installing/using any potty training seat with the original seat up b/c it would most likely fall in or not fit the width of the toilet bowl.

  • You definitely put it on the toilet seat itself. The toilet seat doesn't need to be lifted to use it.

  • The lid/cover of your toilet has to be up, but the toilet SEAT does not. The product fits on top of the toilet seat.
