The Midland 75-822 Handheld CB Radio is a must have for people who are constantly on the go. A handy tool during road emergencies, this portable midland weather radio is lightweight and can be converted from a handheld device to mobile radio. There is a built-in 10-channel weather monitor and 40 CB channels that update you about local weather hazards. This radio has a lighted LCD that clearly displays various functions and modes such as the frequency, channel information, and much more. This battery operated CB radio has a user friendly keyboard that gives you quick access to emergency channel 9, road information channel 19, and other user-selected memory channels. There is also a keyboard lock feature in place to prevent accidental dialing. The radio has a dual watch that constantly monitors two user select channels so you will never miss any information. You do not have to worry about battery life as the radio has high/low power settings and auto power save mode.

Nice unit I purchased this radio for limited range use. Some sites I must visit for work require radio access and this model certainly works well for my needs. I love the ability to use with regular batteries/rechargeable batteries/via car charger (I use with car charger). I paired this radio with Cobra 36" 300-Watt Magnet Mount Antenna and in 5 minutes I was setup! I have only used it a time or two so I cannot comment on long term or long range use. I'd say for my sites we're talking a square mile or so. 08/27/2011

Excellent buy for the money OK! Your fellow CB buddies may want to make fun of your walkie-talkie (I do have a regular base and moble) but this really works great. You may have a little more background noise in auto/truck but it's not a $300. Galaxy either. One point, save your money on the headphones, they are baaad! I love this little radio. You can get the 22 in. antenna which works a little better then the stock short one. I checked arount this radio selles for $20 to $40 more most places. 03/17/2012
