Very Happy I am hard to please, and I am very happy with this table and chairs.Cons:It is small, but the dimensions are given in the item, so this should not come as a surprise. It is good for us in a small apartment.The table was kind of difficult to put together. The chairs had quite a few steps and I was not able to use my cordless power screw driver because of the angles.Pros:good solid construction. THE CHAIRS DO NOT WOBBLE! PLEASE READ: You need to sit the chairs up on all 4 legs before tightening them all the way. I realized this immediately because I am a mechanic and it is pictured this way in the instructions....but the instructions do not specifically state this. There is naturally a small amount of play between the screws and holes....if you do not stabilize all 4 legs of the chair on the ground....then tighten them, or if you lay the chair on it's side then tighten the screws.....your chair will wobble on a flat floor.Attractive & solid table. The table is solid wood, the chairs and all of it is solid wood. the chairs are comfortable to sit in because of the cushion.The finish seems to resist scratches. We have used this table seeveral times and it does not have any nicks or scratches on it at all.Advice:Use glue in your assembly. Elmers glue, or wood glue applied to contact points, dowel rods, and screws will make your assembly more solid, stable, and durable.Stand chairs up on all 4 legs before tightening the legs all the way. see above notes for more details.......if you do not stand the chairs up, they will wobble. ........this really is common sense. 12/23/2009
I like it We are extremely pleased with the quality and design of this table and chairs and the whole process of ordering and receiving them. The size is perfect for our small dining area. A good buy for the price.We ordered them online from Houston Texas and had them delivered to Center, Texas, near our country house to save shipping charges. We were kept informed by e-mail of the status of shipping and arrival time. Pick up from the store was quick and easy.It doesn’t take long to assemble (about a 3-beer job) if you are experienced, but it may take longer and more patience if you haven’t done this before. The instructions are easy to follow.Suggest you purchase furniture sliders appropriate for your type of floor. We installed Teflon 7/8-inch sliders and they made the furniture move easier across the carpet. 06/25/2009
Nice Dining Set This is a nice set. The table is a little smaller than I thought. After reading the other reviews I was apprehensive about buying online since I didn't want to have to return the set for any reason, but It came without any damage. Since I was very careful putting the chairs together and then the table (it did take me over 2 hours), i was able to get it together with no mishaps and I love it. It looks great in my new 1 bedroom apartment dining area and I am very glad I bought it...It's a great deal for the money...The only problem I had was the shipping took way longer than I thought. BETTER THAN EXPECTED! My husband and I recently decided to purchase this product after looking at countless different retailers. We were a little apprehensive not being able to see the item prior to purchasing it, but went ahead with it anyway. After setting it up, it definitely was worth the gamble! It fits perfectly in a smaller dining area. (I would not recommend it if you have a huge dining room- it might look awkward.) The quality is great and the color is perfect for what we were looking for. The chairs take a little bit of time to set up but for the price, the labor and end result is far better than expected. 11/25/2009
