I don't quite know about the durability yet, but they seem very sturdy and don't look/feel cheap at all. They are really lightweight.Assembly was super easy.....I noticed that one reviewer of this chair (color in Kiwi green), thought that the instructions were mixed up on the screws, but that was not the case! I tried her advice before I followed the instructions and that did NOT work. Anyway, as far as assembly goes, all you have to do is attach the back to the seat, and screw in 2 legs. (I was expecting much worse!) Also, came packed very nicely and shipped super fast with site to store. Color=light cream, ivory, off white. (I don't know the difference between those 3, but these are not bright white. My house has white baseboards and a light cream-ish wall paint, and the chairs are closer in color to my walls.)We're ordering 7 more for our dining room. 12/31/2011
