Memorex Ml 410 Universal Portable Line-In Speaker 4.3 5 4 4
Great Value speaker! I recently purchased an HTC smartphone and needed something to listen to music/pandora to at my desk. I stumbled across this speaker at walmart. The universal claim caught my eye and with a $30 price I figured why not. I didn't want to pay for a more expensive Apple speaker, and the other lower price speakers didn't look very promising. This speaker plays music by connecting to my phone's headphone jack and it sounds really good for a $30 speaker! It doesn't charge my phone, but listening to music does not drain my battery that fast anyway. It's portable on 4 AAs if I need to take it anywhere, and for $30 I can let my kids play listen to it without having to worry too much about it (it's only $30....)Overall, the only Con is that it doesn't charge my phone while playing but it does more than enough to meet my casual listening needs. I'd give it 4.5 out of 5 stars, but I'll round up to 5 I guess 11/15/2011
Ipod I have been looking for a cheap yet good enough ipod player for quite sometime now. I found it I recommend this player if you are looking for a affordable player that plays good. I only have 2 problems with it it doesn't charge the iPod but since its only for music it won't die as quickly. the second con is it doesn't really have a good resting place its. it is kind of awkward to put it in and to take it out to change a song. however my whole idea was to buy this one until i could afford a proper iPod touch docking station.anyways sorry for my rambling if any parent who has kids like 12 and under and looking for a player they could listen to music i recommend this one. its cheap but it works great. I love this thing i got. so5 stars 01/17/2012
Worth the low price, but could have been 5 stars To be honest for the price there is not a cheaper portable speaker system that is AC powered out there for my iPhone. I looked everywhere. Anything cheaper will be battery operated which is a huge waste. The pluses: Affordable, decent sound/range, battery option for travel, AC powered (a must), works with all MP3 players, sleek design, easily fits on our window sills which keeps it out of the way when entertaining. The minuses: no docking or re-charging option. While I understand the lack of docking allows it to be used with multiple devices, and keeps the price down, a hole cut through the bottom would allow users to turn it into a docking station with their own recharge cords. Seems like it would have been a simple good addition in the design. As it is not, with the iPhone you must left the phone out from behind the glass to access the main button anytime someone calls, you want to change music, etc. I’ve worked around this by not placing the phone all the way into the stand, and letting it balance/rest where it is easier to operate. All in all, like the purchase. It will certainly do until I win the lottery and can afford the nicest Bose docking station ;) 12/25/2011
Good sound The speaker sounds good for the price but I'm annoyed that there is no docking station. It's a bit ackward to hook up the iphone and put it behind the glass. If I need to change a song, I have to take the phone out from behind the glass. I'm probably going to return it and look for something with a docking station. 12/23/2011
