- Hello Irraine, Thank you for your question on the Memorex 10-Pack 4x DVD-RW discs. Most software programs will go through this process automatically unless there is an option to not finalize the disc. If you want to play a disc in a player or any other drive you need to close the disc through the finalization process. The finalization process adds the TOC or table of contents to the disc. The drive/player will use this TOC to find where the information is located on the disc and allow playback to begin. As for the DVD+R disc not playing….. Were the discs closed for playback? Are the players compatible with +R discs? Thanks, Memorex Product Supportby Memorex Support11/3/2014Written by a verified representative from Memorex SupportWas this answer helpful? Q. can I use these 2 make a back up disk for my new pc to use if my hard drive goes out & has to be replaced?
- Because companies like Windows have security built into their backup disks, it would be better to go to a local computer expert to create a backup. It is risky to use these for that function.by CommunityAnswer11/15/2014Was this answer helpful? (0) (0)Was this answer helpful?
