real knee saver

Very light and easy to lift off for cleaning. Makes it alot easier to get off commode without knee pain. Really stable, doesn't slide around; feels as solid and comfy as the regular toilet seat, just higher.

The Best!!

I spent a lot of time reviewing various products designed to raise a toilet seat. Many were expensive, awkward, took up too much space, required removing the seat, etc. It was overwhelming. Then I saw this product, read the reviews, couldn't believe that it could be that simple and easy to use - but decided to give it a try. It's wonderful!! The seat is made of a very strong plastic - it doesn't squish or feel soft. The best thing is that it is placed directly on your current toilet seat. The height is perfect and the seat does not wiggle, slip or feel unsafe. There are NO tools involved, it's lightweight and easy to move - and if you're sharing your toilet with someone else, it only takes a moment to lift it up and return the toilet to its original seat. Absolutely perfect!

This was purchased for an elderly neighbor. It fit her older toilet perfectly and doesn't slide or require tools. She is very happy with it and it cost $15 less from Walmart than from the local medical supply store.

  • NO! This will not fit an elongated toilet. we have one and it does not fit. we have to put a towel behind the riser so it doesnt move when my mother in law sits on it.

  • There is not a cover w/ this type of raised toilet seat. If elongated toilet means slightly oval in shape like mine; this seat did fit well. It has a small extention of plastic which fits down under the seat causing the seat to fit snug on top of your toilet.

  • I buy regular seat covers but only when they come in the cardboard piece that keeps thier shape. and i just lay it on top..looks nice and i dont have to worry about dropping anyting into the toilet! I may make some of my pwn out of cardboard of the templates for when i buy covers without the cardboard piece.

  • A cover did not come with the item and I honestly could not imagine that there is any type of cover available. I have a standard toilet and it fits like a glove. I would image it may fit an elongated toilet, but would look slightly odd do to the mismatching shape.

  • No, you lift up the toilet lid and seat, and put this on top of the toilet to use

  • The raised toilet seat is designed to fit on a standard toilet seat - not sure how it will fit to an elongated typed toilet.

  • It can be easily removed (as easy as lifting seat) but it is not hinged. Once removed it has to be laid somewhere. Males can sit if desired.

  • it will NOT lower, it is only a riser. you would have to take it off the seat in order to lower. Yes, it could be used for both men and women.

  • No. You first raise the lid and rim and set the product down, then the lid and rim stays open at all times that this is on your commode.

  • Men would have to remove it (easily done); otherwise the opening for the to urinate in is awfully small and I think it would make a mess. You take the old toilet seat and cover off. No cover with this raised seat.

  • It raises the seat by 4 inches. It does not have a gap in the front. We have it installed because I need it. My husband is able to use it even though he does not need it.

  • The raised toilet seat's height is 3.5 inches for male and female users. It is not flexible to be raised up or down. My 6 footer husband finds it still too high for comfort. He prefers 1-2 inches in height only.

  • We took the original seat off because leaning against the bottom side of the toliet seat seemed gross to us. There is no hardware it is simple to install you lift the lid of the toliet and place this down into the hole. It rests on the glass part of the toliet.

  • It should work. You have to lift the seat and rim and the item just sits on the top of your commode.

  • No. But you could put this seat on top of the old one, even if it has a minor crack. It is designed to sit on top of your existing toilet seat.

  • I think so. There is no hardware. The seat sits on the porcelain, there is like a couple inch lip that keeps it from slipping. You have to lift the toilet lid up, to place this on the toilet.

  • It sits right on the bowl, so the other seat is raised out of the way. It can be used without is. It has a sleeve that inserts inside the bowl and then a lip that sits on the top of the bowl. No hardware, just some rubber cushions that keep it in place.

  • It does not have any hardware. The actual seat on toilet has to be up or removed and this seat fits on the rim.

  • No tools required. I lifted my top and the seat fits perfect. No sliding, or anything. This is a great inexpensive product!!!!!!!!!!!!
