IF IT IS A SMALL AREA AND YOU CAN PUT SOME BACKING TO FILL IN THE HOLE IT WILL WORK FINE..YOU JUST HAVE TO DAPP IT ON WITH A SMALL TOOL THAT COMES WITH AND LET IT DRY AND THEN DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN UNTIL YOU ARE PLEASED WITH THE END RESULT.

yes this may get the job done if you don't need to much of the mixture. you only get 1inch high x 1inch wide (round container) of each color.

It depends on how much material is missing. I would use Shoe Goo to fill in a large area, and I would remove any tears that are raised above the surface so they don't leave bumps. This prep should make it possible to make the area less noticeable. You might want to check out the really cool felt and upholstery tacks they have at Michael's Craft. The felts are etched and can be used as great corner embellishments if the base under the material is wood and the upholstery tacks can be inserted.

have a dark brown leather ottoman my dog chewed the bottom corner...will this kit be good to use to repair corner he chewed off?

That is my issue to and what I bought it for. I just applied it and we'll see. It does look better than before applying this product.

Yes it can be used for this problem. will require a lot of careful time to do a good job.

If there are not too many. It covers well if you prep the area first, cut away any bumps and make sure the area is as smooth as possible (I would use cuticle scissors to trim the leather). Once you fix the area it might smell differently so you might get lucky and the cat will leave it alone.

I found with cats that damage furniture are bored. Get it or make it a cat tower that has a good scratching post. To keep the cat from doing more damage you can put two sided tape on the area temporarily. They hate this stuff. Make sure you take it off in about a week so the goo doesn't stick.

Does this product repair cat clawing holes on leather furniture?

I have bonded leather and ws told it should work well. Believe it is good for all kinds of leathers. Google ReStor-iT and you will get plenty of information.

Yes. Different textures require different texture papers which are provided. The one it doesn't work as well on is patent leather. It works to cover the damage but the edges are easy to see.

Being patience and using multiple light coats produces a very good result.

I used the black toned repair material to fix scratches and wear on the cording of my leather sofa and chairs. The repair kit covered the damage and wear very easily. I had an excellent experience with the leather repair kit. The damaged areas are now indistinguishable from the rest of the leather.

Easy to use for small flaws

did exactly as advertised was quite impressed...had a 4in by 4in whole in the arm of my faux leather couch patched right up and mixing the colors for the first time ever got a real close match on the color

Worked just as advertised and saved me from throwing away a leather couch!

Excellent product!

I thought I would try this to fix a tear on my favorite boots. It works!! You must patiently apply thin coats (I applied with the spatula first, then smoothed it out with a small paint brush). Let dry thoroughly between coats. On the third coat, applied the grain-match paper overnight. If you look closely you can tell it's been repaired (this WAS my first attempt) however, no one will be inspecting my boot that closely.. (LOL)
Now to see how long it will hold up, I can always repair it again.
BTW…I was lucky because my boots are black. Not sure how easy it is to mix and match other colors.

It's easy and actually works!

I highly recommend this product for small repairs on vinyl. The kit comes with everything needed, different colors, mixing/application stick, instructions, guide to mixing colors, patches for desired grain patterns. Used it on a hole in a vehicle armrest - much cheaper than replacing the part. Looks almost like nothing happened.

I have a pair of boots that I LOVE and they were expensive, so when the heels got all marred up, I didn't want to throw them away. I purchased this product thinking it was worth a try, but wasn't too hopeful. They provided different colors, a little plastic spatula and some fabric pieces which I didn't need. Using the spatula I covered the areas of the heel that had torn off and then realized I would have to then cover the entire heel because it's impossible to make it perfectly smooth like they were new. However, I was able to paint it on smoothly enough to make it look like they were slightly textured and they came out really nice!! It only takes about an hour to dry. I've only worn them a couple times, but so far so good! I wish you could just by one color cause I will probably never use the others.

Surprised at good results

Very good product. The repair of the holes was very easy with very good results. The color mixing is a little tricky if you are repairing an item that are not one of the basic color. It would be very helpful if the color mixing chart showed examples of the colors.

Seems tough to color match. I am kind of scared to use it.

I tried to use this on a chair. I didn't have any trouble matching the colors.
It is already starting to peel off. I only did it 3 days ago!
