The box it's packaged in is 5'5" long and 2 feet wide. And is about 8 inches thick. I'd say if you had a really small truck with a bed it would fit in that with room to spare. So yeah you could probably get into your car.

My wife put it in her car it is heavy get someone to load it for you. It should fit it is about 4 & 1/2 feet long about 1 foot wide.

This product exceeded my expectations. The price is great and the bench is surprisingly sturdy. I'm 6'2'' and about 195 lbs and this bench works great for me.

Great value in this workout bench

The Marcy Standard Weight Bench has a multi-incline position-adjustable backrest, barbell, and leg developer which can be used for varied exercises for one's chest, legs, and arms . The weight bench comes essentially disassembled in numerous pieces, but it is not difficult to assemble and seems sufficiently sturdy when assembled. The backrest board can be adjusted to five levels of incline to accommodate different exercises, but it would have been better if it were a few inches wider, so that there would be more room to position one's back on it. All of the weight bench's functions appear to work smoothly and sturdily thus far. The weight bench comes with 80 pounds of weights, but they are of little added value. They consist of two 25-pound weights and two 15-pound weights. They are the type with vinyl covers enclosing some material (as opposed to all-metal plates), so they are very bulky and more vulnerable to being damaged. The limited selection of weights makes them of obviously little use in a weight-training regimen, because they do not enable gradual, relatively small increases over time in the amount of weights used, but rather only the options of 30, 50, or 80 pounds on the barbell (assuming that the weights are equally distributed on both sides) and of 15, 25, 30, 40, or 50 pounds on the leg developer (the latter can accommodate no more than two of the provided weights at a time). However, any standard weight plates can be used instead of or in addition to those provided, so presumably this is what people will do.

Good Basic Weight Bench

I knew going in buying a cheaper weight set that I shouldn't have too high of expectations but this weight set is awesome. I got it as a present for my boyfriend and be absolutely loves it. He's 6'0 and 180lbs and he fits perfectly on the bench. Easy to assemble and easy to find extra weights to add on to the bench. Awesome inexpensive purchase overall!

Bought this for my 19 year old son, for a birthday gift. He is 6 foot tall & I worried it would be too small....he says it's perfect! He wanted to start weight training to prepare for boot camp in the US AIR FORCE. So far we are pleased with the set as far as quality & price!

Cons:
Though it is pretty sturdy, if you shift your weight while laying down it will sway. There is not much weight to the bench.

The barbell holders are a bit tight. I wouldn't recommend using this set for real heavy lifting. The risk of crushing your hands when placing the bar back is high.

Seat is a little thin (wouldn't recommend for larger build people) I'm about 5'7" and though it fits me alright it could be a little more cushy and a little wider.

Overall I am happy with it. It does what it's designed to do. Very inexpensive compared to other places.

If your looking to push yourself and have a larger build spend the extra cash on a heavier duty one, this is much thinner then an Olympic set. If your looking to just stay in shape and build muscle tone, have space constraints and not a big person this set is ideal.

I haven't used the leg lift yet, not what I purchased it for. Seems like it maybe be semi flimsy though.

Not bad for a inexpensive bench

The Marcy Standard bench is very easy to assemble and very sturdy. I was very pleased with the comfort of the padding on the back and the seat. The frame while being compact seems to be a good quality steel, and the coating on the steel frame is done well and should prevent any rust issues. I really like the versatility of the Marcy Standard bench. The fact that the bench has a three position incline is very advantageous over a flat bench, in that it enables you to isolate the workout to your upper body muscles. The "Preacher pad" is a great feature to help with the proper performance of bicep curls. I am an older guy trying to get back in shape so this is perfect for me, but it would also make a great starter set for a Middle or High School student. It is well worth the sales price, and a great starter piece or add on to anyone's home gym. It does not hold plate weights and the bar could be a bit longer, it's a little difficult to set the bar back on the rack, but over all you can't really beat it for the price.

A Great Starter Set

Safety is a primary concern when using the weight bench. It starts with opening the box. Make sure the box is laying flat before you open it, that way you won't lose any parts or have an accident. I opened the box the way it was delivered. Everything fell out including a 25 lb weight that landed on my toe.
The set comes with 2 - 25 lb weights and 2 - 15 lb weights.
In the front of the instruction book is an 800 # to call if there are any damaged or missing parts.
The instruction book starts out with a list of precautions for safe use of the product.
It then goes into a list of parts to ensure everything is there.
The hardware pack (various sizes of nuts, bolts and washers) is sealed in plastic on a cardboard back with all the items separated by type and size. It lists the size, part # and quantity.
The instructions walk you step by step assembling the weight bench. One example lists using 2 - M10 x 2 3/4" carriage bolts (part #23). The assembly diagram simply shows 2 items #23 and where they go.
I found it easier to put together just knowing the part # and where they go rather than what a part is called or its measurement.
Most of the assembly would have been easier if I had put a little thought into it. Putting it together on a table or laying it on its side might have made it easier. I ended up laying on the floor tightening nuts and bolts with a crescent wrench and socket set ratchet.
Step 3 is one of the more difficult steps because the 4 bolts have to be screwed through the 2 Backrest Support bars into the underside of the Backrest Board and 4 more through the Main Seat Support into the underside of the Seat Pad. These have to be done from the underside while being attached to the weight bench. The 2 Backrest Support bars have to be slide on a pivot bar at the lower end while the upper end rests on the Backrest Adjustment Bar before you can attach the Backrest Board, which is the part that make it harder.
One of the things that I was able to do that made it easier was to attach one of the Backrest Support bars to the Backrest Board before sliding the bar onto one of the pivots. That can only be done with one of the bars. I then put the other bar in place and bolted it fast to the Backrest Board.
One of the things I recommend for Step 3 is to screw all 4 bolts into the Backrest Board and the Seat Pad to make sure they will screw in before you have to do it from the underside.
One set of threads on the back of the Backrest Board was damaged and the bolt wouldn't screw in. That put a temporary halt to the assembly. A telephone call to Impex Customer Service 800 # had a new part sent right out.
The weight set not only looks real good, but is quit comfortable. I have it set up in a screen room so I can lift weights while enjoying the fresh air and warm temperatures.
I did learn that I have to start at 30 lbs. and work up to 80.

Good for getting in shape

This bench took us about 20-30 minutes to put together. We tightened some screws afterwards for safety reasons, as the seat can wobble. However this has never been an issue when I was lifting.

The value is excellent because the price we paid ($90) is about the price of the 80lbs of weights alone! It was like getting a free bench.

Good overall product for beginners.

Good product for starters

I am 80 now, and have to keep staving off decrepitude, and loss of leg strength and balance. This will be a big help for legs and for chest/shoulders. 80 lbs is a great match, for my age.
